What do the * and + mean?

Down where it shows who is viewing the forum, some users have the symbols * or + beside their name. What do those mean?

The + sign indicates the people you have in your buddy list. I don't know what the * means. SCOTT??

The * means the user is invisible. But they don't seem very invisible if YOU can see them at the bottom of the forum, huh? Might be a bug Scott needs to fix.
