This question depends on you. You need to have motivation. You need to make a turning point in your life. Do not buy any e-books or something like that with titles "How can I quit smoking"... It's all commercial piece of ....

Ask yourself why you want to stop smoking and maybe you will get answer how to stop smoking by your self

      How long you are smoking?

Re: Best Way To Quit Smoking

"The you can quit without any help" message is bologna. Smoking is a physical addiction. Here is my advice:
      1) Get nicotine patches and use them according to directions.
      2) Eat regularly and healthy, small meals throughout the day.
      3) Find a gym and go as often as possible, every other day is the best way to go.
      4) Find a hobby that you always wanted to do but requires fitness: biking, hiking, climbing, tennis, basketball, swimming, martial arts, etc.
      5) Get regular sleep, get on a healthy sleep schedule an maintain it.
      6) Do not buy cigarettes! You fail when you think to yourself, "I'll have a pack in the drawer and just smoke one when I'm stressing out" or "I'll just somke 2 per day"...... You are an addict and if you have them around you will fail. PERIOD.

All of these things help you stay motivated. Good luck!

Well i think this tip of holding a pen or pencil can work but if you still fell unsatisfied you can switch to e smoking.

Smoking is really a killing thing and pushes your life towards destruction , so it is better to stop it or find an easy alternative to quit smoking . The best and easy alternative to quit smoking is vaporizers or electronic cigs which is a safe and healthy alternative.

Re: Best Way To Quit Smoking

I think the best way to quit smoking varies from person to person. I know many people that have quit cold turkey and others that have gotten a prescription from their doctor. I recommend researching the options available and decide which you personally feel the best about, try it and see how it goes. You can always try a second method if the first one does not work for you. The most important thing when trying to quit smoking is that you are truly ready to quit. Good Luck!

Could try cutting down, a bit first i think the key is breaking the routine cigarette like when you leave the home or have a mid morning break at work. Before you know it by cutting the routine, cigarette out you will then be down to few every day and it will be easier to quit altogether.

We have every reason to believe the hazard posed by electronic cigarettes would be much lower than 1% of that posed by [tobacco] cigarettes.

Some bad habits are there we never think about leaving them unless its harm more than what we get(for which we use them). Its very difficult if we think about leaving them. May be it require internal motivation and an alternative habit to compensate the vacancy or get some similar(less harmful than one we leave) and slowly leave all with developing positive thinking.

To quit smoking, you can do the following things:
      • Determine your day you'll stop. That may be tomorrow, however, you may also wait for more favorable moment.
      • Tell the folks who are around you that you're likely to quit. Possibly with someone else.
      • Take away exactly what reminds you of smoking.
      • Stop radically; it offers you the very best possibility of success.
      • Change your consuming meals habits. Drink a lot of water, consume a lot of fruit and become conscious of 'pleasure drinks' like coffee, tea and alcohol.
      • Take care of enough physical relaxation. Take a stroll or a ride or swimming.
      • Treat yourself. Do nice things or have something, like a cd or clothes.
      • If you fall back, don't quit. Discover with what situation it happened and then try to discover using what behavior you are able to react later on. Just try in the future using it. Situation the next time, you have become stronger.

Re: Best Way To Quit Smoking

For me, quitting smoking was a conscious decision which involved me adjusting many aspects of my life, not just giving up the little white sticks. I cut down my drinking, which led to less "social smoking", I concentrated on eating more and higher quality foods. I also adapted physical aspects of my life. My sleep was always fractured due to late nights and too many cheap mattresses so I would wake up grouchy and stressed, causing me to reach for the packet to calm down. With that adjusted, I also got my teeth fixed after I'd damaged them over the years. Quite frankly, I didn't have the money to pay the dentist bills and keep smoking so one had to lost out! I've quit for 18 months now. Its not easy, its not overnight, but if you want it enough, it can be done. Good luck guys
