Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
Y'all please be careful if doing business with Central Coast Nutraceuticals. They are an online business based in Arizona that sells the Hoodia products "HoodiaCore" and "HoodiaStar" and probably others.
They offer a 15 day trial on their products; but they will try their darndest to take your money even if you don't like the product and cancel. Their customer service personnel are very rude and downright nasty (they can only be contacted via e:mail).

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
I have to agree with bonnieb with regard to Central Coast Nutraceuticals!!! They send their products to you without you even ordering them and then charge them to you credit card. I have been unable to contact them at the email address provided with their products. I for one, will do no more business with them and have put a stop on any further charges to my account for stuff which I did not order nor do I want!!!

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
I should have read the posts before I bought from CCN. I tried to cancel about one hour after I purchased and was told I had to wait until I received the product, then pay to send it back and ask for a refund. I checked my checking account and instead of a charge of around $5.00, I had a charge of over $45.00. I am still trying to get this straightened out. I did get a number for a supervisor, 1-480-366-5911, she said her name was Trish, she was the rudest person I have every spoken to from "Customer Service" .

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
I have had the same problem and have threatened them with a class action law suit finding as many people they have defrauded like myself.
If anyone would like to add their name to my list, please let me know and I will give you my personal email address to send me your info.
I personally did everything they asked in order to not be charged for the order they sent me including return of the item and they still will not credit back my credit card the $38.95.
I want to do everything I can to make sure companies like CCN are held responsible and do business ethically.

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!

I have to say i agree and decided to join this site to say this as well so all of you do not go through this like i did.
I had no idea more then one company is sharing my credit card till this jerk at this company told me. And as well he added and i quote "I'm the idiot that didn't read what i was getting into until i now realize that i'm never getting my money back" end quote. After this i was so angry that i called my bank, oh and sent him a few choice words which he "Jason" the manager replied that i need to go to church and again I can't do anything about them taking my money. Mind you this all started because i went to the "Green Tea Extreme" site and ordered green tea.
so the first charge was for $5.95 for what i had wanted
second charge was from a place called fit factory for $39.95 where an indian man named "Rex" had the same conversation with me and yet i got my money back from them and alerted my bank
this last charge was for $44.90 for who knows what and thats from central coast nutra whatever and i spoke with the people at that place which consists of only 2 people by the way; the dumb chick that answers the phone and might hang up on you or put you on hold for the so called manager "Jason" who talks to you like an idiot and is a rude and a you know what.
So in order to get your money back this is what you have to do:
1. call them at 1-888-692-8352 and try, but forget it they are just **** *******.
2. Call your bank and talk to professonials who help you
3. File a claim and explain to the bank that this is fraud on your account (because its not an authorized purchase at all)
4. Then do not cancel your account just get a new card thats the only way they are accessing your account. 3-5 days and your set
5. Fill out the claim that the bank sends you and within 10 days your money from this company will be put back.
So listen to me when i say do not buy things like simple vitamins online or they will share your credit card info with 100 other companys that they run. I hope this helpsLast edited by galena; 11-19-2008 at 12:48 AM. Reason: language

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
hey there I would like to be added to your list. I did everything the rerpresentive told me to do and they only refunded back 33.10 from 38.95 because of some restocking fee. Kevin is the one that told me the wrong information and when I called Trish she told me that Kevin was giving out the wrong information and would be refunding the entire amount, however they did not. So when I called today the person I spoke to said she was the Call center manager and her name was Nicole. She was so rude and kept telling me I should have read the website about the restocking fee. I told her that I was going by what her customer serv. rep told me and I did excactly what he told me to do. She told me this should be a lesson learned and she was not going to argue with over 5.85. I told her it was the principle of the whole thing.....and I did exactly what I was told to do and she hung up on me. So please add me to your list.
Thank You.
Lisa

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
this company is by far one of the worst for doing bussiness with not only are they rude to when you call in they want an unrealistic restocking charge. I have called in several times to stop there shipping of green tea they still send it.I am changing my credit card number as soon as the bank opens. I will join anybody that wants to start a law suit against this company. They need to be stopped as soon as possible they are a fraud. The state attorney general of Arizona doesn't want dj041015@frontiernet.netto be bothered with this company

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
Definitely the are not above the board when it comes to their business tactics!
I would like to be included in the class action suit.
I called to cancel the Green Tea, asked for an RMA to return products, they said no need to return. That felt strange, didn't make sense. Emailed customer service the same day - read below what I wrote:
Just want to follow-up with my cancellation of Green Tea
Extreme. I was told I don't need to return the remainder
of my product but just want to confirm that there will not be
any additional charges for this product.
How they responded.
We have canceled your membership. You will receive no further
shipments from us. Thank you for trying our product.
Sincerely,
Trisha Scott
CCN Customer Care
Over a week later they charged my card the full amount, when I called them they refused to listen to me or would not accept my returns, which I tried to send them immediately.

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
I just got a collection notice for this company. I had never purchased anything. They sent me some samples and I tried to return them to no avail. I am sending them a rather long legal letter and I will be sending a copy to the credit bureaus if they decided to place it on my account. I had to cancel my credit card to get these people off my back, and now they are trying to get more money!

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
This company offers sample for under $5. Four days later a charge for nearly $45 came through on my charge card. When called they said I had not deleted the extra Hoodia and solution or something like that. In other words, I ordered something by default. An honest site asks if you wish to order anything else besides the lead item. Now I have to pay to return the unwanted add-ons and hope to get refund before credit card is maxed and then have an overcharge fee. Even if I do want to purchase the product I will find an honest seller somewhere. This came through an Oprah approved ad. Shame on her.

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
Please add me to your list as well. Unfortunately I have not one but THREE products that they are charging me for! Today I have been charged AGAIN for these products! I plan on contacting my bank (unfortunately I used a debit card for these), and hopefully I can file a claim for these. Something for you all to think about, which I am going to look into...contact the Arizona Attorney General's office regarding this. They deserve to be jailed for what they're doing, and THAT may just be what will do it! Good luck all...

Re: Central Coast Nutraceuticals-- STAY AWAY!!
Believe it or not, I actually got a refund...albeit less the restocking fee, but something is better than nothing. I am waiting now on the ADDITIONAL product that was shipped and charged without my authorization to arrive so I can send that back...hopefully I'll get a refund for that too.
