How do you make a banner for a Little League team?
My son will have his first year in coach pitch for Little League and I'd like to make a banner for the team. Has anyone done this before?

Are you talking about one made out of fabric? I made a pretty large banner for DH and a friend when they started DJ'ing..the EASIEST and QUICKEST thing I knew would work was that iron on paper. I first ironed it on to the material I wanted to use for the lettering, cut them out and then ironed them on to the banner fabric. I know you have to be careful if using felt because felt will scorch quicker. I attached this one to dowels that they could "break down" for easier storage.

I was thinking that they were usually made with felt. It's just a big banner that has the team name and then you can put all the kids names and number on it too. They are usually hung on the dugout at each game.

I've used the iron on paper for white felt so it DOES work well..I would just always use a piece of scrap material between your iron and felt piece. I didn't use felt as the background piece tho, DH wanted something more "flowing" since it was so long in length and width. I think felt is AWESOME to use tho because you don't have to worry about it fraying.

Some Kinko's now have a 'sign shop' inside the store.. Not all Kinko's have them, but the sign shop can make banners, PVC signs, Metal Signs, etc... Any type of Sign you can envsion
Kinko's has very competitive pricing and will even beat another competitor's price if you bring their quote in

I used felt for a Soccer banner last year and it worked out fine. I also used the iron on paper and that worked very well. I used PVC pipe so it would stand up, but you will not have to do that since it will hang on the dugout fence. It cost me under $15 dollars to make it but someone gave me the PVC pipe and rebar. I know people that had theirs made and they were around $70. It turned out very cute, but the worst part was having to cut it up and give every player the soccer ball that had his name on it. After all the work I put into it I really didn't want to cut it up.
