I have the following for trade:

1) 4 Campbell's soup label bonus coupons each worth 100 labels when you attach 20 labels.

2) 111 Campbell's soup labels.

3) 2 Swanson broth bonus coupons - each of these coupons allows your school to earn double bonus points when you attach Swanson broth labels.

4) 7 Swanson broth labels.

All bonus coupons have a 6/1/02 expiration date on them.

I would like to trade for General Mills Box Tops for Education.

Strawberryisbest, it appears the current "going rate" for Campbell's labels is between 2 and 4 cents each - I'm hoping to get at least 2 cents each per label, so that's a total of $10.36 from a monetary perspective (400 labels from the 4 x 100 coupons, 111 soup labels, plus 7 Swanson labels = 518 labels. 518 x 0.02 = $10.36) or 103 box tops. But hey, I'm willing to negotiate.....make me an offer I can't refuse!

I am a school coordinator for both of these programs. I really think that according to the rules of these programs that what you are doing is illegal. I don't think you can barter them. Please do not ruin it for the rest of the schools. They are great programs and I would hate to see them discontinued.

Marygreen, if you have copies of the rules of both of these fund raising programs, please post them. Or if they are online please provide the URLs for them. I have seen other "for sale or trade" type posts on other forums I frequent - some do trades, some accept money (or stamps, or other coupons) in exchange for the box tops or labels.

My son's school does not save soup labels, but does participate in the box top program, so I thought if I could trade with someone, it would be a win-win situation and both organizations could receive much needed funds.

I was not aware that there was something illegal about trading soup labels for box tops. I could see how outright selling soup labels or box tops might be against the rules in that the seller could be making a profit from said sale. But such selling does take place - check out the major online auction sites and you will routinely see box tops (sometimes soup labels too) up for auction. Some schools reward the class that collects the most box tops/soup labels - the class receives a special prize, party, etc, so I'm guessing parents are purchasing box tops/soup labels via auctions to help their child's class win. The principal at my son's school does not believe in promoting this type of competition between the children, so this isn't an issue at all for my son's school. My thought is why bother buying box tops (or soup labels) via an auction - just donate that money to the school instead!

The only reason I stated the monetary value of soup labels was to arrive at a fair number of box tops for trade (monetary value was determined by asking numbers of other "traders" on other sites what soup labels are worth). It was in no way meant to suggest that I am interested in selling the soup labels for actual cash. I thought I'd mention that just in case someone may have mis-interpreted my intent.

Marygreen, please provide some follow up information - if trading soup labels/box tops in this manner truly is against the rules, I thank you for bringing it to my attention. It really isn't my intent to endanger or compromise either of these programs in any way - these programs are too valuable to non-profit organizations!

Strawberryisbest, I'm glad to see you put the box tops to good use! The schools can always use extra funds and I am sure your school appreciates your support.
