Rolling eyes I need advice on trading....
If I want to trade gift cards, how do I ensure that the gift card I am trading mine for hasn't already been unscrupulously used already?

I just want to make sure I don't get screwed!

Well, you really wont know. Sometimes the card will have a 1-800 # on the back to check the balance, and even if the other person gives the # to you to check, they could still use it before they send it. Now, there is a good trader list on this site, so you can always check that. Good Luck!!
