| Back a few years I used to participate in a snail mail coupon exchange and would like to start one again. Here's how it would work. Anyone interested in joining email me by next friday august 10th. I will start the exchange by filling an envelope with all the coupons I don't need and mail them to the first person on the list. They will take out any coupons they CAN USE and then put in coupons they have at home that they don't need and mail them to the next person on the list. Email me with your information @ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and next friday I will mail out the coupons and the list to the first person who responded. Your name will appear on the list in order to how you responded to me. (I am also thinking about a freesample swap list too. Where I would start it by sending 4 or 5 small free samples in an envelope, you take as many as you like but must replace each you have taken with another sample. Let me know if you all would be interested, if enough are interested in a sample swap I will start one)

| I just wanted to give a little coupon "pep talk"... ![]() I recently got the "Envelope of Coupons", and with some of those coupons, and ones I had... I went shopping Saturday. Our local Giant Eagle is currently doubling coupons up to 99 cents... So, here is my shopping story... I went to Giant Eagle, checking what was on sale and what I had coupons for; I filled my cart all the way up (even put stuff on the bottom!) Found an available check out. The cashier (maybe 19 years old) didn't look too happy when she saw my stack of coupons... Until she saw my total, and then she said; "I've GOT to see what your total is after all these coupons!" That's when the lady behind me spoke up and said that she wanted to see how much I saved too. At this point, I'm a wee bit embarrassed... And after I loaded my groceries in the car, and was putting the cart in the cart return... The lady from behind me in line came up and asked how I managed to have so many, and such good coupons??? I told her that I swap coupons with my sister's, Mother, and I told her about DealOfDay.com ... About how I swap coupons through the mail with some of the members, and there was an "Envelope of Coupons" started, so I joined the list of people to do that. She said she was going to talk with some of her friends, and her Ladies Church group about the coupon swapping idea. So this is what I ended up with: 71 Items in total. Total cost of $113.81 BEFORE any Sale/Coupons. 50 Items on sale~ Takes $15.85 savings right off the top. $97.96 Total. -$43.07 Savings from 39 coupons, 8 of which were not doubled. ------------- $54.89 Total "Yay!!! Way to go, Beffie!!!" ![]()

| Hey there! ![]() I'm giving another "Coupon Pep Talk"!!! I know, you all are probably going like this --> ![]() But I've gotten some great savings using the coupons from this "Coupon Envelope", from personal trades, and the Sunday paper... Just trying to "help out" others with finding some savings!!! And since our local Giant Eagle does double coupons up to $.99, that helps me out a lot... But even without the doubling you can save quite a bit by using coupons... I've got 3 grocery shopping trips to share: #1 10 items subtotal: $14.79 - 4 coupons = $10.35 #2 36 items subtotal: $51.14 - 19 coupons = $31.54 #3 20 items subtotal: $40.11 - 16 coupons = $24.14 So this is what I ended up with: 66 Items in total. Total cost of $146.40 BEFORE any Sale/Coupons. 49 Items on sale~ Takes $40.36 savings right off the top. $106.04 Total. -$40.01 Savings from 39 coupons, 11 of which were not doubled. ------------- $66.03 Total That gave me an "extra" $40.01 to put towards other expenses. ![]()

| Include a list of coupons that you are looking for, this should help to receive coupons that you CAN use. Just a thought... If the people on the list have specific coupons that someone else on the list is looking for,you could just mail them directly to that person??? Don't know if this would make it too confusing... But like I said... It was just a thought. And if you know people, which I'm sure most of us do... ... Ask them to join!!! Do it like this:You can let other people look through the coupons when you receive the "Coupon Envelope". Such as: friends, neighbors, family members, co-workers, if you belong to a ladies church group... Depending on how many people you share with, ask them to "chip in for postage costs"... 10 people? $.20 each =$2.00... 4 people? $.50 each = $2.00. The postage seems to run between $1.25 and $2.00... So if you only find a couple coupons, this way it "makes it worth your while"!!! ![]() When I get the envelope, I look through and find coupons that I will use. Then I let 2 of my sister's and my Mom look too, or I look for the coupons they may be able to use. And they add a few coupons that they have to "get rid of/pass along". And I ask them for $.25 each. That means that they give me $.75 towards the postage, and then I pay what's left... And since I get to look through them first, I usually get more coupons then they do ... So I paid $1.2? and they paid $.75 towards the postage of the envelope this time... It was $1.9? to mail it this time.
