Wink

Hey. It's that time again for me to start buying new books for my kindergarten classroom. I am using an almost invisible book allowance from my district and a LOT of my own money.

I am looking for barnes & noble online or B&M gcs and borders B&M. Stackable amazon is OK too.

I can pay with paypal or I have some gcs (sephora, supercert, reflect) blockbuster, tupperware, B&BW stuff to trade.

Please email me with what you have and what you would like for it. I have references and would like the same from you. Thanks!

i'm sooooo sorry..don't have any

but would like to commend you....i think kindergarden teachers are the backbone to our children's education.. what they learn these first few years will mold and determine what and how they will learn the rest of their life..i truly believe that...my son is leaving kindergarden going to first and my daughter will be entering kindergarden it's exciting for both of them... (for me too) all the principles of life and learning are established in these first few years

being a bit sentimental but ya know..it's the truth

cata5 is welcome here
What kinds of things do you buy? I like to get things for the teachers to use in the classroom, but I'm not sure what they get from the school and what kinds of things they get on their own...

Sorry, I don't have any gc either...but I'll keep you in mind for deals.

cata5,

The amount of money teachers get for classroom use varies WIDELY from district to district and even school to school. I actually only get $100 for the entire year and that is supposed to be used for field trips so I don't really get any. We do have a classroom fundraiser once a year though which raises a couple of hundred dollars for supplies, books, puzzles, games, etc. I spend about $1000 of my own money each year on my classroom, which is my choice, I know. But it would still be nice not to have to. I do it because the things I purchase help make my classroom more fun and different.

I am pretty much looking for great deals on school and arts & crafts supplies, books, book & tape sets, puzzles, storage containers (those are the things I am always looking for.)

Shayna,
I will be starting my credential year soon and I'm interested in resources for teachers. Can you tell me some good sites for classroom freebies (or cheapies)?
Thanks,
Shelley

Scameron, I don't know of any specific sites for teacher freebies, isn't that terrible? I usually just check out the posts when somebody finds something. I've become kind of picky in what I get for my room too because now that I have a few years under my belt, I have WAY too much stuff and some of it I have never used. I share my room with another teacher so we had to cut way back on our own stuff. But as a new teacher, I always took anything and everything I could get my hands on because you never know what you might use.

Smile Dont't have any GC's but...

I currently don't have any GC's for Barnes & Noble, but check out Ebay. I typed in "barnes gift" under search, and 13 items were found. You should be able to get like 25% off or more. Plus you can use coupons in conjunction with the Certificates.
