Where the Heart Is (Ashley Judd) - A lighthearted drama about finding your place in the world under the most unlikely circumstances. Natalie Portman is Novalee Nation, a pregnant young girl who is running away to California with her boyfriend, an aspiring country singer. When he abandons her at an Oklahoma Wal-Mart, Novalee has no choice but to stay behind. She lives in the Wal-Mart until the baby comes, and the resulting birth turns her into a celebrity. As the years go by, Novalee continues to live in the small town, and eventually finds herself falling in love with the kindhearted local librarian. Featuring stellar character turns by Sally Field, Carol Channing, Joan Cusack and Ashley Judd.

Dr. T. & The Women (Helen Hunt/Richard Gere) (in generic case) - Robert Altman follows up the good-natured COOKIE'S FORTUNE with this biting satire of an upper-class elitist Dallas community. Richard Gere plays Sullivan "Sully" Travis (better known as Dr. T), a man whose good looks and overflowing charm have made him the most popular gynecologist in all of Texas. Things begin to go wrong for Dr. T when his beautiful wife, Kate (Farrah Fawcett), begins to lose her sanity. He sends her to a mental hospital with the hopes of a full recovery, but her regression into childhood seems to be permanent. Adding to the mass confusion is an unexpected visit from his alcoholic sister-in-law, Peggy (Laura Dern), who brings along her three children, as well as the constant battles between Dr. T's two daughters: the soon-to-be-married Dee Dee (Kate Hudson) and the jealous Connie (Tara Reid). Upon meeting his country club's new assistant golf pro, Bree (Helen Hunt), Dr. T finally feels like he's met his match--a beautiful, independent woman who has no desire to be swept off her feet. Trying to juggle the pressures of his personal and professional life, Dr. T's recent problems culminate on Dee Dee's rain-soaked wedding day. Working again with screenwriter Anne Rapp, Altman closes his sprawling comedy with an utterly outrageous yet genuinely optimistic finale.

The Bachelor (Chris O'Donnell/Renee Zellweger) - The comic tale of a commitment-shy bachelor who must rectify his ways if he wants to receive a multimillion dollar inheritance from his deceased grandfather. After ruining a genuine proposal with a pathetic statement, Jimmie Shannon's (O'Donnell) girlfriend Anne (Zellweger) leaves him. When he realizes his grandfather's only stipulation, that he get married by 6:05 on his thirtieth birthday, happens to be the very next day, the hunt is on for a bride-to-be. Armed with his friend (Lange) and a ready-to-marry priest (Cromwell), Jimmie spends the next twenty-four hours tracking down his former girlfriends, trying to find a suitable partner. A remake of Buster Keaton's SEVEN CHANCES (1925).

Forever Young (Mel Gibson) (Cover itself of case is a little bent.) - In 1939, the longtime girlfriend of a daredevil Army Air Corps test pilot is in an accident that renders her comatose. Grief-stricken, he volunteers to be frozen alive for a year in a cryogenics experiment, in the hopes that she will have recovered by the time he is ready to be thawed out. But his body remains in a deep freeze for 50 years until two children accidentally revive him. As the pilot attempts to cope with all the technological and cultural developments that have occurred during his sleep, he hurriedly tries to find the scientist who froze him and the woman he left behind.

Road to Perdition (Tom Hanks/Paul Newman/Jude Law) - Directed by Sam Mendes and based on the graphic novel by Max Allan Collins and Richard Piers Rayner, the Depression-era crime epic ROAD TO PERDITION stars Tom Hanks as Michael Sullivan, a quiet hit man who is duty bound to Mafia boss John Rooney (Paul Newman). The mobster's close bond with Sullivan, however, leads Rooney's jealous blood son, Connor (Daniel Craig), to orchestrate a tragic series of events that results in Sullivan on the run with his 12-year-old son, Michael Jr. (Tyler Hoechlin). Soon an unscrupulous crime photographer/assassin named Maguire (Jude Law) is sent after Sullivan and his son, and Sullivan must decide on a course of action as young Michael comes to terms with his father's violent way of life.

Britney The Videos (Britney Spears) (no insert) - An adoring public of millions around the world has watched pop star Britney Spears blossom from an innocent, unsure teenager into a self-possessed, sexy young woman. This compilation of the Southern sensation's music videos is a record of Britney's transformation--both musically and visually. It includes old and new videos including "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet A Woman," "I'm a Slave 4 U," and several others.

Dreamcatcher - This is in a generic case. Based on the novel by Stephen King, Lawrence Kasdan's DREAMCATCHER follows four friends who receive psychic powers as children when they aid and befriend a mentally retarded boy named Duddits. As adults, Jonesy (Damian Lewis), Henry (Thomas Jane), Beaver (Jason Lee), and Pete (Timothy Olyphant), reunite every winter at a cabin deep in the Maine woods to hunt, drink, and celebrate the bond they share with Duddits (Donnie Wahlberg) and each other. However, this year their wilderness reunion is marred by disturbing incidents which begin with the discovery of a lost, sick hunter and a frozen figure in the middle of a remote road. As events escalate and horrific creatures emerge from unsightly spaces, heavily armed government operatives, led by the imposing Colonel Curtis (Morgan Freeman), arrive in the area, and soon the situation becomes an all-out battle for the fate of humanity. The Net (Sandra Bullock) - Angela Bennett (Sandra Bullock) is a beautiful but reclusive computer systems analyst who enjoys her lonely nights surfing the net and entering chat lines. When a friend sends her a disk infected with a curious bug, she is caught up in an internet nightmare when she tries out the new program. The "beta" program gains her access to some of the world's most sensitive databases, but her friend turns up dead and she discovers that her identity has been erased and she has been given a new one which proves her to be a criminal. She must then set out to find who is behind the nefarious plot.

Mars Attacks! (Jack Nicholson/Glenn Close/Annette Bening/Pierce Brosnan/Danny DeVito) - Director Tim Burton unleashes MARS ATTACKS!, a vicious, affectionate, brightly-colored homage to 1950s alien invasion movies. When a shiny silver flying saucer lands in the Nevada desert, a group of skull-faced Martians exit the gleaming craft. Although they claim to be peaceful, they promptly "vaporize" a gathering of unfortunate Earthlings, kicking off a bizarre high-tech war with wild special effects. This studiously campy sci-fi spoof, based on a series of Topps bubble-gum cards, gleefully parodies not only schlock B-horror movies, but also overblown blockbusters such as INDEPENDENCE DAY. This subversive film is helped along by an all-star cast including Jack Nicholson in dual roles as both a clueless U.S. President (with First Lady Glenn Close) and a Las Vegas sleazebag. The film follows the wacky WAR OF THE WORLD--like proceedings from the points of view of numerous colorful characters, from the inane U.S. Press Secretary (Martin Short) to a trailer-park family (Lukas Haas and Sylvia Sidney), singer Tom Jones (as himself).

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (Ellen Burstyn/Ashley Judd/Sandra Bullock/James Garner/Maggie Smith) - Sidda Walker (Sandra Bullock), who is high on life--about to marry Connor (Angus MacFadyen) and flushed with success because her new play is about to open on Broadway--gives an unguarded interview to TIME Magazine. After reading the interview, Sidda's mother, Vivi (Ellen Burnstein), is so livid that she disowns Sidda, takes down her pictures, and refuses to attend her daughter's wedding. Trying to heal the rift between mother and daughter, Vivi's best friends, Caro (Maggie Smith), Teensy (Fionnula Flanagan), and Necie (Shirley Knight), go to New York, take Sidda to dinner, slip her a Mickey Finn, and spirit her off to Louisiana.

Miami Rhapsody (Sarah Jessica Parker/Antonio Banderas/Mia Farrow) - Gwyn discusses her dysfunctional family and love life with her psychiatrist: her mother is having an affair with Antonio, the young, exceptionally passionate man who cares for her ailing grandmother, while her brother Jordon is cheating on his pregnant wife with his business partner's beautiful spouse. At the same time, Gwyn's father is making whoopee with a travel agent Zelda. Into this messy situation comes Antonio's mother, who's demanding to meet his girlfriend. Antonio begs Gwyn to pose as his beloved even though she's already engaged. She agrees, and during their pseudo-date, the two begin to fall in love.

Force 10 From Navarone (Robert Shaw/Harrison Ford) - The survivors of Navarone have been given a new, and even more difficult assignment - they must destroy a huge bridge located deep in the Balkans. However, in their midst is a traitor who betrays them to the enemy, and nearly succeeds in foiling their plans.

Hangmen (Sandra Bullock) - Set in the Upper East Side of New York, this is the story of a rogue, out-of-control splinter group in the C.I.A. and the team of tough, former Special Forces men determined to stop them.

Going Overboard (Adam Sandler) - A cruise ship waiter with hopes of becoming the ship's comedian gets his big break when the current cut-up is thought to be lost at sea. PENDING

Gun Shy (Liam Neeson/Oliver Platt/Sandra Bullock) - Writer-director Eric Blakeney tells the darkly comic tale of Charlie Mayough (Liam Neeson), an undercover DEA agent who narrowly escapes death at the hands of mobsters. He only wants to retire, but reluctantly agrees to close this last case. His stress leads him to group therapy, where he befriends a group of unhappy men who are dealing with their own, more mundane, job stress. Charlie also suffers from gastrointestinal problems, and while receiving a barium enema, he meets, and falls for, the quirky nurse (Sandra Bullock) who performs the unpleasant procedure. Meanwhile, his final case brings him into contact with Fulvio Nesstra (Oliver Platt, in an over-the-top comic performance), an insanely violent mobster with a surprisingly tender side. Fulvio's secret passion is his failing tomato garden. GUN SHY breaks down the typical undercover agent yarn to uncover its psychological, and sometimes scatological, roots. Blakeney takes the outline of a typical undercover agent drama (such as the superb DONNIE BRASCO) and adds a heavy dose of quirky humor.

Red Surf (George Clooney) (no book with this one) - A pair of inseparable, hard-partying ex-surfers get in over their heads as drug runners for a savage inner city gang. They want out, but the plan doesn't unfold that simply as they cross paths with the most brutal drug lord.

The Arrival/Arrival II (both on one DVD) (Charlie Sheen)
The Arrival - A radio astronomer obsessed with listening for some sort of cosmic noise finally hears a shockwave late one evening. In his search for an explanation he discovers a horrifying fact -- Earth is the target for an imminent alien invasion!
Arrival II - No description.
