FSOT Conair Hot Sticks

DD got these as a gift, but her hair is so straight and fine that she can't use them. She has tried to use them a couple of times, but they are practically new (only 2 weeks old). They include 7 pink (small) sticks and 7 purple (large) sticks. I don't have the instructions or original box.
