| preschool teacher's iso
Hi, I've decided to put up an iso for my class. These are things I'd like to get really cheap for my 5 year old preschool class. Please let me know what price your asking or I have items to trade if you have any of this. I need these cheap as I will not be reimbursed by my school. A box of pretend dress up play clothes, old costumes (no masks or violent ones), dance recital costumes or such for boys and girls age 5 Items for our science table. Fancy cut rocks, neat magnets, etc. Doctor kit, postal kit, etc. ie. fisher price type stuff Teacher resource books Also if anyone has hardcover or paperback books (no Disney, Golden books) that the are looking to sell really cheap I'd like to improve their reading corner. I desperately want to get them Eric Carle books or other notable children author books. Most on Ebay I can't afford. Flannel or felt board stories. Let me know if you have anything else. I don't want anything electronic or requiring batteries. Thanks! Please email me. ![]() __________________ __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. some ideas from one pre-k collector to another hee hee =) For dress up clothes, you might try the Goodwill and/or salvation army. The ones here frequently donate (REALLY ugly) clothes to our HS program. The are usually pretty freaky looking, but right up a preschooler's alley . =) Good place to pick up shoes/hats on the cheap too. - For under a buck, I've found gold shoes, Football helmets, etc. Some other weird places we've found dress up clothes: hospital - scrubs, masks, bootees, etc. Pizza place - apron, pizza boxes, menus! Burger King - donated some old uniforms local college theatre - all sorts of stuff/props grocery store - bags, shopping baskets, even gave us some receipt paper (we took a tour of the store - very cool) For books at Goodwill, etc. you really have to hunt, but I have found some bargains. Also, Ebay's "Half.com" is a good place - the regular ebay site is much more competitive - there are TONS of Eric Carle books there! Also some teaching books. For teach books, though you might try the boards or a mailing list at Teacher's Net ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]) - an awesome site. You would probably find someone who was willing to trade books. Also, at our local college, they have a section of books for the ed. department that anyone can go and look at. We have to pay like $10 to get a "guest" library card if we want to check things out, but is totally worth it. Other random thoughts: For postal center - you can probably get free envelopes from your local Hallmark store - ours donates a bunch after major Holidays - for some reason, they ditch the envelopes. Especially cool after Halloween when we get the black and orange ones! For science - do you have a local "rock and mineral club"? We have one that always donated tix to their gem show thingy, but we asked and they donated some cool stuff for the science table instead. Also, lots of cool (and cheap) ideas in books by Mary Ann Kohl. I swear, she is a genius! Ooh - another website to check out - on Vegsource ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]), they have a whole huge section on Homeschooling and there are some swap boards - I have found some awesome stuff there - almost forgot about them! I think the link to the homeschool part is on the bottom left of the front page. Okay, I'd better stop b/c this is going to be the longest msg in the history of DofD! lol - but definitely come check out T.Net - there are tons of us teachers there with no money. hee Jennifer __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links.
