For gas savings try keeping your tire pressure at the proper psi. This helps with gas savings too!

Another couple of tips:
Make sure that your cars air filter is clean, if not replace it. It only costs $15-$20 to replace and depending on how bad your current air filter is, can add several miles per gallon.

Also when driving try to accelerate smoothly. Putting the petal to the metal burns up gas very fast. Just gradually come up to speed.

When you are driving and you see a traffic light up ahead turn red..... let off the gas! You would be surprised at how many people continue to keep their foot on the gas until they need to hit the brakes. You don't necessarily have to hit the brakes right away but just let off the gas, the worst that can happen is the light turns green before you get there right?

Try to plan your trips and errands. Why? So you don't have to back-track. Running your errands in an order that will keep you from having to back-track will save on gas too.

That is a great tip! It makes so much sense! I need to start making myself do that! The fuel efficiency quiz I posted before asks your method for running errands and after thinking about it, I had to answer "run your favorite errands first." I am going to have to change that!
