Yahoo! is conducting a 1-week long research study to learn how we can improve a new website in order to make it more useful and easy to use. If you are interested in participating in this study, please complete this survey. If you qualify for participation, contact information you provide will be used for the purposes of scheduling for this study ONLY. Yahoo! uses personal information collected from you in this survey for research and product development purposes consistent with the Yahoo! Privacy Policy.

Participants in the study will be asked to attend a 1-hour usability study interview, conducted in a Minneapolis conference facility (directions will be provided). Participants in the study will be asked to use a new website to interact with their friends at least 5 times during a 1-week period and will be asked to complete a short survey after each daily usage telling us about their reactions to the website. Participants who meet all of the requirements for participation below will receive $150. Participants may discontinue participation at any time, but you will not be compensated if you fail to meet any of the requirements below.

Requirements for participation:

1. You must be at least 13 years of age. (Participants under 18 years of age must have permission from parents or guardian before continuing.)
2. You must live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area.
3. Complete this recruitment survey. We'll then let you know if you're the right fit for this particular study.
4. If chosen, you must participate in a 3-part study:

A) a 60-minute usability study interview betwen January 28 - 30, 2008 at the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis - Park Place (directions to be provided).
B) a 1-week "diary study" during which you must use the new Yahoo! website at least 5 times between January 28 and Feburary 4, 2008. After each time of using this new website, you'll need to complete a brief online survey telling us what you like and dislike about it (we'll email you a link for the survey).
C) a 30 minute phone call at the end of the diary study to answer any remaining questions.

After completion of this 3-part study, we'll mail you a check for $150.

Thank you!
