How much is a domain? Operation Fee?

How much does it cost to buy a domain or rent one for a year? I don't need anyone to do anything to it, I will do all the building. It would be fun to play with and I have some ideas of what I want to offer on the site. Anyway, need help knowing what the expenses are before I dive into it. I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

for domain registration it is $8.95 per year while the hosting fee is roughly around $4.00 up - depending on what kind of plans you will be using.

I suggest that you register your domain in godaddy.com since they are the number one domain registrant.

You can Join [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now], and it seems like it lets you buy a domain after joining for only $1.00 for the first year. That is how it did work. so you have the domain and hosting for only $4.95 for the first 6 months.

.cn是1 RMB in china ,but 5 usd in US.

.com is about 2 USD 7month ago in yahoo but now about 6 dollars
