| cf 27 panasonic hard drive help I couldn't find any info in your forums. My GF seems to have messed with something on the Notebook CF27 Toughbook. It's rather old. The Hard drive is not being recognized in the BIOS, so the computer will not start. It says no Operating System. Could the Hard drive be fried?  Drew

| Re: cf 27 panasonic hard drive help Hi, Maybe, but it might not be either. Is there a place you can take it who can wipe your drive for you? I had to have that done once to my laptop and then reload everything, but it really wasn't bad. Good Luck! Kat

| Re: cf 27 panasonic hard drive help Thanx Katlyn for your response,  I think I'll try that first, wipe the hardrive . The only thing is, I still need a External USB CD rom to install Win98. For, this model does not come with a internal cd rom , or external. What are the compatible and inexpensive external CD Rom available for the Panasonic CF27 Toughbook Laptop. There are no upgrades to the Notebook. Drew  |

| Re: cf 27 panasonic hard drive help Hi, Let's see, have you checked E-bay or Freecycle - everything on there is free and you just might get lucky, and it goes by where you live and there's also craigsworld.org, try there too, he might have something, though it might not be free, it'll be inexpensive. I took mine back to the guy that sold it to me and he did all of it, which was real easy (for me). Good luck! Kat
