I was wondering if anyone knows where/how PayPal can be used other than on eBay. I have a positive balance from some eBay auctions, and I don't feel comfy with them having access to my bank account to deposit the $$ directly...Is that safe, btw? And I am cheap and would prefer not to have to pay them $1.50 to send me a check, lol. So, I thought perhaps I could use it in place of a credit card elsewhere online? TIA!

I just have always had them deposit it to my checking account. Been using them for several years with no problem.

If you want, you can also sign up for their credit card and use it as a debit card, most places take the Paypal card, then you could get rid of your balance. However, I too have it sent to my savings with no problems.

I just started using my Paypal account to pay some bills. Click on Billpay on the bottom of the Paypal homepage and check to see if any of your "billers" are listed. I've paid my phone bill, electric bill, and a couple of credit cards that way. I like it because more money stays in my checking account!

That sounds like a great perk. I hope something of mine is on there. I did pay the eBay fees with it, but it would be great to just transfer money for a bill...save on a stamp, a check, etc.
