Rolling eyes Bargain shopping

I consider myself a good shopper, especially when it comes to finding bargains. The best place to get a ton of stuff for little money is at church tag sales/ or even yard sales. The trick is to go 1 hour before they close, then everything is usually marked at 1/2 price. Also, at yard sales, never pay what they are asking, always ask if they will take a lower price for an item. Another place is church bag sales where you pay just $2.00 and fill a paperbag with as much stuff as will fit. The trick to getting more stuff in the bags is to roll the clothing. Check your free local neighborhood newspapers for dates for those. I have gotten shoes, sweaters, a jumper, blanket and camera this way. You can't beat the price!

Also, if you have any larger sized vinyl dolls and need doll clothing for them, check out the yard sales in your town for baby clothing. I have found some great toddler dresses there for a vinyl doll in my collection, only $1.00 too.

Those are great ideas for saving I know there is a church around here that does the paper bag for a few dollars, but when I got there they were not doing it there is always next year though!

It is also a good place to find crafts a lot cheaper than gift shoppes. I found a very nice fall wreath for our front door for $5 at a church tag sale, and a smaller one not as well decorated was 12.97 at Wal-Mart. So I was thrilled with the savings and having a better quality item too.

I also check out the thrift stores in a city nearby, and they have had some great deals too. The trick there is to get there on the days they have their special promotions, like dollar day. I found shorts, brand new with the tags still on them, for a dollar each, and they were Liz Claiborne. I was thrilled needless to say. I like to get there when I know they put out new stuff (I asked when they do this, one clerk said she couldn't tell, the other told me exactly---right doen to the hour they usually bring it out )
