Include a personal and heartwarming letter from you....she would cherish that all her life. ![]() I love my local Christian bookstore, I spend hours just looking around. They have some beautiful things! When I shop for a gift, I look for something that will make a wonderful memory, you will know it when you see it. That is so funny, they ask me what they can help me with, I say, I will know what I want when I see it. LOLThis is the name of my local Christian store, I really like this one! When my daughters were dedicated at our non-denominational church some special gifts were from my mother and mother-in-law. They each bought a children's book (Max Lucado is an awesome Childrens author-- and adult) . They each wrote a special personal message in the cover. My oldest, now 4, always has me read what grandma wrote before we read the book. Just thought I'd share. mlpalomaki

Our "local" Christian store is well over 65 miles from here, so your thought and guidance really helped.....I really wanted to do something extra special...and the leatherbound bible did it and I purchased a charm, which in itself, will now start a tradition for her as for every special event, I will buy her a charm to commerate that special time....I also love the idea of the book with something special written....Gonna have to find something.....God alsmost took this wonderful angel from us before she was born and I thank him every day for her,......shes such a bright spot in my life.......again thanks so much for your help....Both of you.......and this is our angel

You are most welcome! ![]() She sure sounds like a true blessing for your family! God is so good!! ![]() ![]() I can't see the picture you put up though? I get page not found? I have some of my grandma's cookbooks and I have her Bible...I can't tell you how precious it is to me. She wrote in the margins about verses and in the cookbooks she wrote things too, even the little shopping lists I found inside are treasures to me. I still have her in my life every time I open them. I plan on getting 2 journals, one for each of my kids, and writing everything I can think of...memories I want them to keep, life lessons, family history. I won't be able to leave them money or material things but I pray that the words I write will be treasured more than gold. |
