Saddam asked Bush for $1bn to go into exile

I wonder how any plan such as this would work?

The President added: "Saddam won't change and he'll keep on playing games.

"The time has come to get rid of him. That's the way it is."

Days before the invasion began on March 22, 2003, the United Arab Emirates proposed to a summit of Arab leaders that Saddam and his henchmen should go into exile.

Mr. Bowler, have you read that a few weeks BEFORE the invasion, the CIA found out "curveball" was bold face lying about Iraqi chemical labs? Also, the weapons inspectors on the ground concluded there was no banned chemicals in the seed-processing factory “curveball” claimed were a chemical WMD lab.

Because "Curveball" was the only source on Iraqi chemical WMD, it kinda makes you think perhaps the President wanted a war with Iraq and there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.

Wait a minute, that's the situation we are in now; The President wants us in a war, he wants to put soldiers' lives at risk, he wants to tear families apart, he wants to spend trillions and he really get nothing back for the U.S. populous, he wants soldiers in 120 degree heat in the summer, He wants more wounded soldiers.

His actions lately clearly show he doesn't want our soldiers home anytime soon. He lied to us, and he is clearly the worst President in U.S. history. His blunders will have rippling and financial effects on future Congresses and future Presidents.

You know, it is funny all those people a few years ago here on DoD that were duped by this nonsense the White House cited as "irrefutable evidence” have all simply disappeared from this board. Also, think about all the people that were kicked off this board for arguing we shouldn't go to war with Iraq. I hope the owner of this board one day soon writes an open apology to all those that were unfairly treated on this board a few years back for their questioning the nonsense the white house was disseminating. It would be the Christian thing for the owner of this board to admit he was wrong for banning people and ostracizing people just because those people disagreed with the President on the "irrefutable evidence" to go to war with Iraq. The owner of this board really needs to apologize for abusing others and spreading false witness. People that have been banned from this board for political motives should be welcomed back and those that allowed the banning must take responsibility for their selfish motives and stand up and admit, finally, that they were wrong.

Yes I believe this is what you are referring to/about:

JMO-My guess is that President Bush never imagined that the war in Iraq would take the course it has, and didn't have a plan for a worst case scenario. I'll disagree with you in that President Bush would like to get out of Iraq, but doesn't want to risk the chance of having a civil war...It is much easier to pass this to the next president, and play the blame game if things go bad.

Have you ever listened to the Wilkerson Interview? This explains the short time frame briefly.
