President on the Minneapolis tragedy

The President’s briefing today on the tragedy in Minneapolis was appalling. His 649-word statement contained a mere 141 words on the tragedy, while the rest of the statement focused on bashing “the Democratic leaders in Congress” and their budget planning.

This attack was blatant partisan politics (“I am a uniter, not a divider”) for the president. For the president to use a national tragedy as an opportunity to attack Democrats (not the obstructionist Republicans) in Congress is shameful. George W, Bush is obviously our worst President ever; he has destroyed any sense of decency, civility, and compassion, left in the White House. Shame on him. Does he really think we are that stupid to go along with his opportunity tricks once again?

Nothing he does can surprise me anymore! He just keeps sinking lower and lower.

Back in 2003, a poster on Dealofday. com claimed the President had "a Laser-like focus on the War on Terror," and this morning I am reading in the papers Newt Gingrich has said the war on terror is "phony" and "we are losing."

The British have even stopped using the phrase "War on Terror,” because they believe it indirectly alienates a certain creed of people, and was meant to be deliberately confusing (Rove, perhaps?).

So, here we are, not even able to begin to leave Iraq until George's term is over in 2009, so it will not be his loss to deal with.

But then again, there were so many ties between Iraq and al Qeada (oh, wait a minute, there weren't). But he was reconstituting his nuclear... (No, not one neighbor of Iraq believed that nonsense), Iraq was a threat to the United States, so we had to get our inspectors out so we could start bombing (that didn't make a lot of sense now that I think about it).

Were you aware, last month, four bridges in and around Baghdad were blown up by insurgents?

This man sold us a bill of goods, and this “uniter” is having his bridges, literally and figuratively, destroyed around him. What is first priority for this President, rebuild the destroyed Iraqi bridges to help this war effort, rebuild a collapsed bridge here at home that had been structurally neglected for the past five years, rebuild the weakened or completely shattered bridges between his office and the Congress, or try to mend the unstable bridge of his credibility as seen by the American people?

His first priority is always to keep doing what he wants, with no concern as to what the people of the United States want. He calls this "integrity."

Our first priority is to impeach!
