| Rep. Michele Bachman As we all saw, Congresswoman Michele Bachman made a complete fool of herself and trashed Minnesotan values immediately after Tuesday's State of the Union Address. After shaking the President's hand, and getting an autograph, she placed her hand on the President's shoulder when he turned around to greet other members of Congress. The television cameras then clearly displayed the congresswoman holding then squeezing the president's shoulder for a period, finally pulling him back, away from other members, so she could give him a kiss. The kiss she boldly planted, as we all were horrified to see, was not dignified; it was lip next to lip and partially sloppy open mouth on her part. The President was clearly extremely uncomfortable. The Minneapolis press has been all over her undignified display of unladylike grabby physical affection, as they rightly should be. Congresswoman Bachman, as we all know, is married with at least five kids. I hope her female constituents in Minnesota' s sixth see this disgraceful public accost on the president as an embarrassment that looks bad for all Minnesota voters, as well as a horrid representation of the class of all Minnesota women. Please send her packing in 2008. Minnesota has better to offer.
