Just heard on the radio that Terri just died. And her parents were denied to be by her side at her final moments.

"Thursday morning, O' Donnell said that Schiavo was in her final hours of life, and police have prohibited her blood relatives from spending time with her.

O'Donnell, one of the family's spiritual advisers, said that her parents and siblings were "begging to be at her bedside...but are being denied."

Terri Schiavo (search) was in her final hours Thursday morning, and her parents were pleading with her husband Michael Schiavo to allow them to be at their brain-damaged daughter's bedside in her final hours, a spokesman for the family said.

Schiavo was entering her 14th day without food and water amid what could be the final legal setback for her parents after the U.S. Supreme Court refused again to hear their plea to reinsert Schiavo's feeding tube.

Wednesday night's decision came hours after a federal appeals court declined to hold another hearing on the issue. It was the sixth time since 2000 that the Supreme Court declined to intervene in the case. Justices did not explain their decision and there was no indication how they voted.

It was also the second time in a week that the high court refused to hear the parents' appeal.

The latest emergency request argued that the federal courts didn't consider whether there was enough "clear and convincing" evidence that Schiavo would have chosen to die in her current condition. Doctors say she has been in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years.

A court ruling had allowed her husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo (search), to order the tube that has kept her alive removed.

I just saw the news break on TV.
I can't believe her parents were denied the right to be there.
I mean....they had already lost the legal battle, why inflict this type of pain on them as well?!?!
Well....I have mixed feelings about the whole "situation", but well...I just hope her parents can try to move on with their personal lives. What a strange sensation to have...I mean, not the loss of a child, I don't mean that at all, but now their days won't be filled with the legal aspects of their daughter as well. Thoughts and prayers of strength to those who loved her.

I feel personally, that her parents should have been able to at least be there in the moments. This just makes me ill. Her husband was with another woman, had 2 kids. He lost his grasp on her as far as I am concerned. You wonder how the Pope has a feeding tube, is very ill, and it is allowed. She is just as much a human. There are so many cases like this unfortunately.

If there was any doubt in anyone's mind about what type of person Michael Schaivo obviously is (mired in hate and self-centeredness), this display of refusing to allow her parents to be in on their dying daughter's final moments should offer crystal clarity. Look for him to continue this pattern by refusing to allow her parents to give her the proper Catholic funeral she deserves. Bottom feeder is too good of a term for this lump of flesh the world knows as Michael Shaivo. The epitomy of pure, unadulterated, unabashed evil in vivid color.

Shows exactly what kind of man her husband is...If he cared so much about her he would of let her family be with her since he obviously did not care to be.

I feel so sad for her and her family.... :O(

I also wondered about the pope being on the feeding tube, kind of came out at an odd time with all the controversy with Terri..

I saw a "crawler" on the bottom of the MSNBC broadcast that said her parents spokesperson said they had been with her 10 minutes before she died, not sure why they weren't allowed to stay til the end. Michael was with her when she died. I wonder if his girlfriend/fiance was there. I also think that a man with a girlfriend and two children has probably lost his objectivity when it comes to his wife. The whole thing just rips my heart out. I hope her parents and siblings can find some peace now that she is not suffering any longer.

For publicity I'm sure. Just like that picture they showed of him holding Terri's hand with his face close to her. I can't imagine that was anything but a publicity shot. No one could ever convince me this man is anything but scum (and everything else Bobcat said of him.) The people who REALLY love her should have been at her side when she died. Michael just had to stab Terri and her family one more time.

But I do believe in Karma . . . Michael Schiavo will get his, and it won't be pretty.

It is not God's will that anyone exist on machines for 15 years.That was man's will.Thank God she is at peace now. Her parents made a circus of her tragedy. I don't think it was about Terri for them but about their will.They wanted to control her. Probably like that all her life, hence her eating disorders.From what I've read about him,
even when her husband moved on with his life he never abandoned her. He did his best for her, spent a fortune on treatments to improve her and her care. I think he just wanted peace for her and closure for him and the rest of their families. I don't think he is a monster but some of the media whipped people into a mob frenzy. How do you justify people who are so pro life making death threats against the people who disagree with their opinions? This is all so sad for all involved and so wrong for all of us (including me) to make judgements about people we do not know.

GOD'S WILL? Than the same could be said for A LOT Of things... Women who can't have children on their own maybe that's GOD'S WILL< but as soon as they get pregnant using fertillity drugs all of a sudden they say it was GOD'S WILL>
Anyone that's ever beated the odds with disease and illness is that GOD'S WILL or man's machines and medicines?

Very sad.

I wish they would focus some on the eating disorder that Terri had that probably put her in the coma in the first place. I had read that she was on NutriSystem and she was bulimic which is what gave her the potassium deficiency.

There are tons of cases like this out there. I wonder if any of them will get any press now. Probably not.

Any of you guys have a living will? Hopefully this will get people to make one up.

I was watching "The View" this morning and it was said Michael is wanting to have her cremated rather than allowing her parents to have a Catholic service/burial.
