There, now I will answer. I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ with Him as my Lord and Savior. This relationship is of a spiritual nature that connot be confined in the religion box. That relationship guides the way I live in this physical world.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I was curious, but did not want to debate which is what I thought this particular forum was for. Isn't it funny how all the other forums on the internet this question can be asked, but on this one it cant, without causing offense? On other sites I see Buddhists and Muslims, and Mormons all respond and share what they believe. Very interesting!

Christian, non-denominational, but have been involved in: *Greek-Orthodox *Primitive Baptist *Southern Baptist I believe that God created this world and that He sent Jesus, his Son- the Spirit made flesh to redeem my sins. I also believe the Bible is the inspired, living Word of God. The effect of this belief on my life is that I have a roadmap, a guide, a ready answer to all life's questions and decisions (if I choose to use it- the consequences of NOT are all mine). The effect is also that I can understand that no matter how much I mess up, my God has an eternal love for me and calls me by my name and not my shame

| Re: what Religion are you?
I was raised with a Baptist Mom, and a Methodist Dad. We went to church on occassion. I attended an RLDS church as a teen, and went to their summer camp. (I became involved there, becasue of people I babysat for) I married a Catholic in the Catholic church, and had my children baptised Catholic. I never became Catholic, as i felt it would be hypocritical as there are some things that I disagree with. So now, I still occasionally attend Catholic church, but I pretty much go along the lines that Telos does..... |

| Re: what Religion are you?
As of Easter 2004, dh, dd, and I are Catholic. I was raised in the Assembly of God (Pentecostal) church and dh was a Southern Baptist since he was around 12. We got married right after we graduated from high school in 1995 and both stopped attending church. After a series of events which are too long to go into here, we both decided to convert to Catholicism. Dh and I were confirmed at last year's Easter Vigil service and dd was baptized in August. Being Catholic has changed our lives. We now attend Mass every Sunday. We practice Natural Family Planning (yes, it does work!!). We also made the decision to home school our daughter based in part on Church teachings (of course the sorry state of our public education system had something to do with the decision as well.). |

I am a born again Christian. I have a personal relationship with Jesus my saviour, God my father, and the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. That said at this time I go to a praise and worship service at out Baptist church. It is a very free style . With live praise band. A awesome youth organization and one of the main reasons we go there. My son loves it, him being a teenager it is so good.

I guess I should have said my feelings pretty much go the way Telos stated .. as I am definatley not a minister. Many times in my life, especially during the time that my mother became ill and then passed away, many things happened that could only be explained as God being there for me, and for Mom. Many things became very clear to me during that time..... They are events that I would rather not go into for personal reasons, but there are people here on DOD (they know who they are!!) who I did discuss these with. I try to live my life according to The Lord's gospel and commandments, how the bible says we should, and try my best to instill this in my children. I would really like the family to attend the Community Church here, but DH prefers the Catholic church, and has different ideas on that. It's a complicated issue here at home..... Sometimes, it is very difficult to "assign" a certain religion to your beliefs. I had intended to become Catholic.....but just couldn't shake off some of the things I didn't agree with 100%.....so I consider myself/ my beliefs to be more of a Christian nature than a Catholic nature. | Re: what Religion are you?
I was raised and still am Catholic... I do not attend church regularly.. I have gone to many churches of different religions and have enjoyed them all. After my mom and dad divorced she would let us go to church with our friends at different churches. My sister and I had so much fun back then , going to church camps, bible studies, all sorts of events... I can honestly say I have probally been to almost every denomination church there is ...well almost all of which came from my mother allowing us to explore religion and choose My dad on the other hand was irrate about it, but could not say anything because they were divorced ....

| This might stir the pot a little.....
Wow, all Christians so far. I was raised Christian (Wesleyan), married a Catholic, send my kids to Catholic school, my oldest daughter attends the Curch of God with my father, and I'm Wiccan. I started studying the old religion two years ago, not long after the death of my mother. It affects my life in all ways, from my deeper respect for the earth and all living things, to the belief that I know my loved ones are safe and will live again. I feel a peace, and a oneness, with the God/dess that I never felt before.
