Red face There were always problems with Hush Bimbo, but I chose to ignore them

Because he was the only non-liberal alternative in the pre-internet era, many ignored things about him. He called Chelsea Clinton a dog. He gloated over the death of Jerry Garcia.
Its like doing business with Pinochet to stop the Commies form getting a beachhead in Chile. Sometimes you gotta hold your nose and supported the lesser of 2 evils.
Mr Hush Bimbo, I salute you as a pioneer that revitalized talk radio.
Now shut the **** up dammit!

LOL! Rush indeed paved the way for a genre now populated by plenty of talent. Glenn Beck (his Christmas show today was a real treat), Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, just to name a few.

actually, its very natural for people to hang onto their "slots" in pop culture. Nobody likes the Rolling Stones more than me, but at this point in the game its kind of idiotic to see them prance around on stage. Look at craggy ole' Dan Rather, he finally got taken down.
I mean, I don't blame these guys for hanging on to these good gigs that they love to do. I'm saying as the "audience", sometimes you want to see new bloods rise up.
