Basically they had a raunchy opening segment to MNF game. I saw it and it was totally inapprorpriate and I have NO idea WHY they were even marketing "Desperate HOUSEWIVES" to people watching Monday Night FOOTBALL. Makese no sense to me.

ABC markets a lot of their shows during MNF. Didn't they have George Lopez in the announcers box for an hour? I really don't see the big deal. It was after the family hour. Ever watch daytime soaps? MUCH worse!! Again, inconsistant FCC rules

MNF is on at 6PM on the West Coast. I don't know any kids who go to bed before 6PM.

Because Michael Powell is inconsistant?

ABC has NOT been fined so I don't see how Michael Powell is being inconsistent. In fact all he said was something like "I'm sure Walt Disney would not be proud." Anyways ABC did not apologize because Michael Powell said something, they apologized because they received numerous complaints and wanted to appease the people making complaints.

I don't always care for the FCC but they are no different than the courts. There are specific guidelines and maxiumum fines. Just like a court case, they view what happened and determine what the fine should be, if any.

I am NOT trying to sound like some prude but that video was stupid, unnecessary, and inappropriate to be played at 6PM/7PM. I don't mind them having George Lopez in the box or doing those intros, but why can't they just make them family friendly? I don't think ABC should be fined I just think they need to be more careful in what they show during primetime family hour (in most of the country).

Let's call a spade a spade. No one would have a problem with this if Nicollette had straddled a young white guy! Given what was playing at the time ( a FOOTBALL game) what's the big deal? Since when did men (the majority of the viewers) become sexually prudish?

Some people really need to look deep inside to figure out what is really bothering them. The same people who claim to be so indignant are the very ones watching Desperate Housewives, Soaps, any crap on Fox, etc. They need to get on their knees and ask God to help them to stop being such hypocrites.

Curiously, the people who claim it was inappropriate offer links and passwords so that those who may have missed it will be able to get an eye full.....

This doesn't have a thing to do with race or religion. So I suggest you stop putting words in people's mouths or turning this into something it has nothing to do with.

I offered the link so that if someone did not see it they could judge for themselves. It was inappropriate because it was played at 6PM at night. Yes I thought it was sleazy and stupid, but it would be a different store if it were played later at night.

No I don't watch Housewives, Soaps, or crap on Fox so I once again suggest you not make claims about other people that have no basis whatsoever.
