Some people really need to look deep inside to figure out what is really bothering them. The same people who claim to be so indignant are the very ones watching Desperate Housewives, Soaps, any crap on Fox, etc. They need to get on their knees and ask God to help them to stop being such hypocrites.

Curiously, the people who claim it was inappropriate offer links and passwords so that those who may have missed it will be able to get an eye full.....

Jesus, save me from your 'followers'!!!
I can remember a commercial that ran in 1972 showing a young Farrah Fawcett in a robe, splashing Noxima shave cream on a shirtless Joe Namath. She seductively pranced around Joe, palming his face with Noxima, saying “Let Noxima creme your face like a razor wont.”

A few years earlier, the same type of commercial featured Swedish model Gunilla Knutson teasing men shaving with the phrase “take it off, take it all off,” all done to the soundtrack of “The Stripper.” The commercial ended with Miss Knutson stroking the men’s faces and caressing a can of shave creme. Theses type of commercials didn’t get the scrutiny 30+ years ago, this promo is getting now.

The sexy Noxima commercials ran for years without condemnation from public officials. Look at the speed at which Chairman Powell felt the need to taint the situation, (And fan the flames), by objurgating ABC for this promo, and you can certainly discern the “uproar” 30+ years ago is small in comparison to today’s situation.

Chairman Powell should apologize to every broadcast network he regulates for his inappropriate comments, and recuse himself from any administrative enforcement over this particular issue. He has already overstepped the boundaries of his job, and proved he is a partisan fool with no interest in fairness or objectivity. I believe this press release says it best.

Washington, DC -- Rep. Jerrold Nadler, Ranking Member of the Constitution Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement about FCC Chairman Powell's recent comments.
1. " FCC Chairman Michael Powell's comments on CNBC regarding ABC's Monday Night Football make it abundantly clear that he is less interested in doing his job than he is in becoming the country's chief censor.

"After first stating that, if it received a complaint, the Commission would review the facts fairly, Powell went on to say, ' But, I think it's very disappointing. I wonder if Walt Disney would be proud. '

"This is no different from a judge announcing before a hearing that 'We need to examine the facts that will be presented in this case fairly, but if you ask me, I think this guy is guilty.' Chairman Powell has essentially announced his opinion before a fair and proper examination could be held.
"He cannot now be a fair and impartial judge if a complaint is filed. Chairman Powell needs to rethink the role of the Chairman of an impartial Federal regulatory agency. If this matter makes it's way in front of the Commission, Chairman Powell must recuse himself, because he has shown his inability, or unwillingness, to be impartial and to provide due process in this case."

Cool Re: ABC in hot water again!

I wouldn't have had a problem if this Nicolette straddled a young Asian-American, (namely me!)
