| Since this IS Deal of Day and most of us LOVE the freebies... If it weren't illegal (and I assume it is??) and money was no object, how much money would the opposing candidate have to offer you to vote for them? This is just for fun...don't take it seriously, it's just to have a little fun around election time! Call me an easy sell out, but I'll start the bidding at $100. I see good qualities in both candidates, so that's why it's so low for me. I repeat, just for fun! Just name your dollar amount and a short explanation why so high/low. Ok, one more rule. I'm not talking about Bush vs. Saddam or something like that. But let's use Bush vs. Kerry, how much would it take to switch your vote from Bush to Kerry or Kerry to Bush. ETA - changing the rules LOL

| Re: How much would you sell your vote for.. Normally, I would say a million dollars (though I'm unlikely to get it!). However, this time, I feel so strongly that it is my moral obligation to our country, our future, our children's future, and to history to vote for Kerry. So I wouldn't sell my vote for any price! |

| Re: How much would you sell your vote for.. I'd never sell my vote for any price, not for this election, not for any election. People have died in order for me and others to have this precious right. Would you put a price on their lives? To even suggest the notion of selling one's vote by asking what's your price is rather decadent. A bit like asking people for what price would they sell their souls.

| Re: How much would you sell your vote for.. I actually almost traded my vote on the voter exchange site. One that site, someone like me who lives in a state that is a LOCK agrees to switch votes with someone that lives in a swing state. (i.e. I agree to vote for Nadar and a person in FL who is a Nadar fan agrees to vote for Kerry.)

| Re: How much would you sell your vote for.. I wont even lie and say I would not sell my vote, because if someone would offer me what I owe on my tax loan I would probally do it (sad I know, but the truth) oh and thats about 800 left and I have been paying for 5 years ![]()

| Re: How much would you sell your vote for.. If I was going to do it at all, I'd need at least $5k-10k. I live in a LOCK state, but if Bush could buy votes for $100, he could probably buy enough to carry Massachusetts, unless Kerry was buying votes as well, in which case we'd probably still be a LOCK. |
