| A Call for Peace after the Election Please, please, please. Let's all be civil and mature after the election. There are a lot of folks who are passionate about Bush and Kerry and it would be nice if we could agree to not tread on peoples emotions after the election. If your candidate wins, don't gloat. Let the fact that your candidate won be 'in your face' enough. Nobody likes a sore winner. Yes, you can post that you're happy your guy won, but it's not necessary 'rub it in.' I'm sure we all know the difference. If not, I'll be happy to point it out to you if it happens. Nobody likes a sore loser either. If your candidate happens to lose the election, accept it and be ready to fight your battles when necessary. No need to whine about how the country is going to go down the toilet if so-and-so is in office. Yes, post issues you're concerned about, but it's not necessary to cry 'the sky is falling' without real cause either. Again, I'll point it out to you if you don't understand the difference. One thing is certain though. We live in the greatest country in the world and tomorrow, for the 44th time in over 200 years, our nation will be electing a President. We've had Presidents from both sides of the fence and the country is still going pretty strong. That's a pretty cool thing we can all gloat about. Sound reasonable enough?

| Re: A Call for Peace after the Election Yes. I have been going off the deep end a bit with my posts lately. I have some very strong opinions, as do many with opposing views. I will pledge to restrain myself for at least the first 100 days after the election. The way I figure it, though, if my guy wins I will be crying in 4 years when Hillary runs.

| Re: A Call for Peace after the Election I agree. Life goes on. No matter who wins, we still have to go to work and school, we still have to pay bills, we still have to cook dinner, we still have to be careful crossing the street, we still have to...etc. etc. etc. |

| Re: A Call for Peace after the Election luv and others - believe me when I say that I feel your pain - I wasn't old enough to vote in the first Clinton election, but I felt like the world was coming to an end when he beat the first President Bush... I voted for Bush by absentee ballot (when WILL those things get counted ) and can say that Kerry calling to concede has definately made an impact on my opinion of him.All I can say is that y'all had a good candidate and props to him for not putting our country through another hard 4 weeks! |
