Democrats clinging to myths and lies in FL

It is an utter disgrace that the Democrats have such a weak candidate that they have had to create a campaign out of smoke and mirrors.

This is just the latest in a long line of ploys to take the focus off a lame candidate with no real core positions.

However, this infuriates me because it is just such a cheap shot- how, and I am dead serious, HOW can people support these tactics?!

Al Sharpton, Al Gore, etc. down in Florida perpetrating the eternal lie that Bush 'stole' that election.

Well for one thing, the whole disenfranchised voter thing is garbage- exit polls from 2000 showed RECORD numbers of black voters!
For another, had the Supreme Court NOT gotten involved, the independent investigations all found the SAME result would have come along- the numbers DO NOT LIE; Bush would have still won.

I am so tired of all the belly achin' coming out of the Kerry camp; all I hear is whining, I'll be SSSOOOOO glad when this is over.

If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny. There are still stooges that will believe absolutely anything. The law was upheld in Florida and the election was entirely legitimate. Gore and the Democrats had absolutely NO class, tearing the country apart by putting us through that charade. Now they have opened up the door for the courts to decide elections again and again.

mayor, do you get to listen to Glenn Beck's little ditties on trivia questions? I have laughed 'til I have cried over some of the stupidity that he can bring forth on those little segments. Asking people today what kind of tree George Washington cut down. He had people thinking he cut down a sequoia. I could not believe that none of these boneheads knew the right answer. They were all Kerry supporters too. No one knew who the Boston baseball team is. I don't follow baseball, and I knew the answer to that one. It is just incredible how insulated some people really are. These are the kinds of folks who buy into these crazy notions about people being disenfranchised in FL. Utter nonsense.

Kerry may lose this election but you can't tell me he is a weak candidate. The man has held office for umpteen years and anyone who watched the debates can not tell me that they think he isn't an intelligent guy. I think Kerry has turned out to be a solid choice and would make a good president.

I am defining Kerry as weak, because I believe there were several other Democrats that could have taken this election by a landslide based on the hatred of Bush this year (not to mention all the malarkey that has been spun into the world by Michael Moore's trash).

He has run for President several times and never really made any showings, he is far too Liberal to really get the country 'united' as he likes to call it, he has a cold and unlikable persona (ANY poll tells you that the people LIKE Bush better; would rather have a beer with him, etc.- except for the Bush haters), he lives in an ivory tower, his post-Vietnam stuff really hurts him among veterans and other 'patriots'- those are just some of the things that come to mind.
Honestly, I have never seen a campaign run more on the philosophy of "I'm not him" than this one- I see that as a weak strategy.

As for what he is doing right? Hmmm... ummmm... let's see...
Okay, his choice of John Edwards was a good one for the crowd he was going after; his donning camoflauge 3 times a week suddenly is good PR because the men's men think he's kind of a wuss; his debate performances were very polished... I guess that is all I can come up with off the top of my head

Allright Prism. You get to keep my respect! When I posted that for you, half of me was thinking that you would reply "nothing". I was pleased to see that you did not take the easy way out.

Has Kerry actually run for President before? I don't think so. Maybe you are thinking of Bob Kerrey? I know Kerry was thinking about running in 2000 but didn't because Gore ran. Speaking of Gore....I wish he would have run again. I really think he could have beat Bush.

Okay. Okay. Now that I think about it, maybe charisma is the incorrect word to use to describe Hillary. That word is better suited to Bill.

How about famous? She is one of the most well known Dems out there. Plus she seems to have no trouble with the constant travel running for national office would require.
