Tongue Latest Polls

Latest AP Poll (Oct. 18-20)

Some 56 percent say the country is on the wrong track.
In the AP-Ipsos Public Affairs poll, the Democratic ticket of Kerry and Sen. John Edwards got support from 49 percent of those who said they were likely to vote, and the Republican team of Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney got 46 percent, within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. The Oct. 18-20 survey, released Thursday, included 976 likely voters.

Less than half, 47 percent, approve of Bush's job performance. A rating below 50 percent spells trouble for any incumbent, and Bush falls below that threshold on the economy, domestic affairs and handling Iraq.

Bush's performance in the first presidential debate, roundly criticized on style and substance, helped lower the president's standing against Kerry from early September, when the incumbent led in the head-to-head matchup and had higher approval scores.

By an 18-point margin, Kerry is seen as best suited to create jobs for workers.

Re: Latest Polls

Thoroughly tired of politics and polls. I actually hope Kerry wins, serves 8 glorious years and is then followed by John Edwards for 8 more. Could be the only way we avoid Hillary.
What I actually think is that if Kerry wins, he will fail dismally and Hillary will run in 2008.
What I hope for is that Bush wins and we keep on fighting terrorism, and building the economy without further taxation. And we get another pro-life Supreme Court Justice during his tenure.

Re: Latest Polls

Just to play DA

It's going to come down to who & how many from each particular group(s) show up IMO.
Maybe Bush wins popular vote, and who knows how elect. college falls-bush has slight adv.
, but nobody knows. Will Wisconsin decide the election?

Bush led Kerry 46-45 percent in the latest three-day tracking poll, a statistical dead heat well within the poll's margin of error.

They were tied at 46 percent the previous two days.

At this point in the 2000 race, Gore led Bush by two points in Zogby's tracking poll, with 8 percent undecided.
