Did yall hear about MaDonna?

I just wanted your opinions on this because I wasn't sure how many of yall here like MaDonna and/or Eminem. Eminem has a new video called "Just Lose It" where he parodies Michael Jackson, Pee Wee Herman, and MaDonna, if you haven't seen it go here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Well, MaDonna recently came out and said she was offended by Eminem spoofing her.

Now, does anyone else find this ridiculous? To me, MaDonna is like the postergirl of self-expression?! She fought so hard for all of the world to see her 40 year old boobs (like Rosie O'Donnell says in the movie, A League of Their Own, "You think there are men in this country who ain't seen your bosoms?"). Did she ever stop to think that there are people in this world who really did not want to see her 40 year old boobs but supported her right to show them off nonetheless? And, SHE is offended by EMINEM?

Eminem is just a modern day Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, MADONNA. He is SHOCK. He takes the truth and not only does he tell the truth, he makes FUN of the truth. Nobody likes to hear the truth, and they sure don't like to hear the truth being made fun of.

AND, Eminem is only practicing HIS right of self-expression.

I used to LOVE MaDonna but I really feel let down. And if I find out it's just one of those any-publicity-is-good-publicity things, like Janet Jackson pullled, well I think I'll just give up on all of my role models from my teen-age years.

So, what are your thoughts about it?

I think it's ridiculous for Madonna, of all people, to complain about what someone else says or does. Eminem does these things to shock people and poke fun. I think she needs to lighten up!

I like the Eminem song and video. I can't stand Madonna. She is so fake. I don't see anything wrong with what Eminem did, he is an artist expressing himself just like she & MJ have done.

Okay, so what I get from the Video is he says "I'm going to make you dance". And the people he's pretending to be were people who inspired dances (Bobby Brown, Pee-Wee, Micheal Jackson, Madonna)

I could have done without seeing him throw-up on Michael . . . but give me a break. The stars are offeneded? They've lived circus lives. They just need to get over themselves.

You know, I've noticed celebrities tend to get even more upset when it's Eminem that spoofs them, it's amazing how much clout he has *roll eyes* [/end sarcasm]

*DISCLAIMER* A friend of mine said to me jokingly that it was funny that I considered MaDonna one of my role models. Well, I didn't consider her a role model in that I wanted to grow up and roll around on the floor in a slutty bride's dress while a random lion walked around but that she showed me that a woman could be strong and stand up for what she believed in LOL! *

Crazytimes, her book that came out, oh I dunno, when I was a teenager (I'm 28 now so EONS ago LOL) AND her "Justify my Love" video and just, well, just about every thing she did in the late 80's/early 90's LOL!

OH, and you had to go and do the scream...now that is gonna be stuck in my head all day LOL!!

It is important to ME. If it's not important to you, don't take the time to read and respond to it.
