I never really liked Bill O'Reilly to begin with. That is just disgusting reading some of that. And it wouldn't even suprise me in this day and age with all the perverts out there. |

But I agree, the real victim is going to get screwed, no matter who it really is.

O' Reilly is way to self-important. He is truly independent, but I wouldn't trust my kids with him.

| Re: Bill O'Reilly .... the next Clarence Thomas?
I read the documents that the press has posted. I think it is noteworthy that this woman, according to the story, stayed on the phone and listened as O'Reilly allegedly made inappropriate statements. Why did she not terminate those conversations? Why did she continue a pattern of going out to dinner with him time after time after time after time? Once she was out of his "clutches" working over at CNN, why did she come back to work at Fox under O'Reilly? If what this woman alleges is true, her pattern of behavior strikes me as most odd, thus making this whole thing very hard to believe. There are some pieces to this puzzle that just don't fit. Also, I see no parallels between this unfolding story and that of Anita Hill. Anita Hill has no credibility as far as I am concerned, as she lied in an effort to help bring Thomas down. Perhaps there is a similarity here afterall, in that this woman is trying to bring O'Reilly down.

Do you thinks it's inconceivable that she might be lying to try and make a few bucks? I'm not saying either party is wrong yet because all we've seen are the filings. That's not enough to make a decision I don't think.

I think Anita Hill had an axe to grind, luv. I read where she was hoping for a particular job assignment or something on that order from Thomas (years ago, don't remember the particulars) that was not forthcoming, and she resented it. There was also speculation that she was smitten by him (I did not put a lot of stock into that) and resented not being taken up on that, as he was happily ensconsed with another woman. Who knows? There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that mere outside observers like us will never be privy to. Ditto the O'Reilly case.

What do you know more than I do because you're a female? Do you have more information about it than me? I have a feeling you were just making a joke?

Look the fact is he is a "celebrity" somewhat and she is not. Generally there is a disposition to immediately say what? No way he could do that! I understand she could be lying, but so could he. And frankly, considering his attitude and the way he's gets so angry at people when they disagree with him, I wouldn't find it hard for him to lie. But this is Bill O'Reilly MR. CONSERVATIVE. Well conservative in politics maybe...his MORALS most not be too conservative!!! Or he could just be a nasty old nympho...ugh gross I don't want to think about him doing some of those things mentioned. |
