Question How can anyone be undecided?

I just don't understand. Both candidates have had websites up for months, if not that past year at LEAST! All of their plans, information, ideas are available on these sites.

These debates are proving NOTHING. Not a single new thing has been said...it's all the same stuff they've been saying for the past year. It's all talking points and they spend most of the time not talking about what they are GOING to do, but attacking the other candidates.

Unless you are basing vote on the candidates debating skills, then I just don't see how you can be undecided at this point.

As I posted on the other thread on this topic - if you agree with some things one candidate is for and some things the other candidate is for, it isn't always cut and dried which one is closest to your beliefs. I still have one more month to decide what's the most important to me, where I'm willing to compromise, and maybe something will happen in the next 3 weeks to help me decide.

I also dont understand being undecided at this point. When I take a look at information like this I am sure I am doing the right thing.

Yep, that is exactly what I said on the "who won the debate thread." The guy can't own up to a single solitary mistake. Very very scary!

I think this came up as a question in the second debate-I believe the question was "What three mistakes have you made?"

Bush came up with a answer that he had made mistakes in People he Appointed..I believe that was the only one.

Re: How can anyone be undecided?

Yes, Mr. Bowler, that is the only mistake he admitted to. I guess he was saying that he had appointed the wrong people 3 times. He also said he wouldn't name those people, as he still wanted their votes.

Just a word about undecided voters: I love it when people say that the undecided voters are idiots or stupid or ignorant! I hope the undecided voters notice that the most energetic attacks on them come from the Conservatives! They are sure that THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU, and they just can't understand why you are too stupid to realize that!

On the other hand, we Liberals understand that the world is not all black and white and that there are MANY things to be considered before making such an important decision. Some people desperately need life to be simple, but YOU, my discerning and undecided friends, see that it isn't. So why not join with people who recognize your intellect and worth, people who will appreciate your votes? You don't want to join with those bullying, heckling meanies on the other side!

You see that the Conservatives are saying bad things about you! But WE LIBERALS WELCOME YOU with open arms! And it's obvious that we are much nicer than those other guys, too!

I'm assuming that this post is made tongue-in-cheek, since I'm sure you wouldn't want to make sweeping generalizations about how evil conservatives are or how wonderful liberals are. There are good and bad on both sides, as I'm sure you know. I got a chuckle out of it, though.

Yes, monkee, it was tongue in cheek! LOL!

And I'm sure the UNDECIDED VOTERS ARE SMART enough to realize that!

Re: How can anyone be undecided?

Again, I'm going to say that people who don't vote at all are the problem, not the undecideds. Only 50% of our population votes... how pathetic is that?

Re: How can anyone be undecided?

Oh I agree the people that don't vote at all, but I just don't undersatnd how someone can be decided.

At this point it's pretty clear where both candidates stand on many issues and if it ISN'T clear I doubt that there is going to be much clarification between now and Nov. 2nd.

I wouldn't even consider voting for a candidate who, three weeks before the elction has not made their message clear. That just sets off a bunch of red flags in my book!

Re: How can anyone be undecided?

You know I don't think this was a "rabid" post in fact it was perfectly partisan. I made no refernce to Limbaugh or the intelligence/ignorance of voters.

All I am saying is I question how someone can be undecided at this point. And I think that is a perfectly valid question that can be made.

Note I am not trying to belittle people who have not made up their minds I am just trying to understand WHY! That's it! I'm not trying to make any point here...I have no agenda!

I think some people are just getting a little hypersensitive with the election so close and all the junk that has gone on here recently.

Hopefully everyone will chill out after 11/2?

If Kerry manages to win, I'll probably be chilling out totally- as in out of the country
(AFTER I inherit millions of course)
