FYI: Polls Suggest a Double-Digit Bush Lead

A Newsweek survey gave the president a lead of 52-41 over Kerry, with independent Ralph Nader at 3 percent. A Time Magazine poll released a day earlier also made it an 11-point race.

Probably just an after-convention bounce, but I find it encouraging as a staunch Bush supporter.

We'll know whats going on better after the first debate. Also, I think the Swift Boat vets still have more to come. I think Bush is going to eat Kerry's lunch at the debate. The more people learn about John Kerry, the less they like him, IMHO.

Exactly.
The ONLY reason for his success thus far is the anti-Bush sentiment perpetrated by the media and a few hostile Liberals. (anybody but Bush philosophy, etc.)
That has never been enough to elect a President and I hope it doesn't start now.

You would think the first debate would favor Kerry since the topic will be Domestic while I believe the President should do well in the Third Debate since the topic I believe will focus on International Topics. Bush was very good in the Acceptance Speech at the RNC-he seemed well rested, and just seemed very alert & comfortable...I think this has to do with him feeling at ease with the audience(that's why the stage was moved into the crowd more). Kerry can be boring to listen to, but he is better then Gore(his voice just puts me to sleep). You just never know who the media will decide-I mean the people

I would expect more Swift Boats Ads, Kerry's Attendance, Kerry's Cambodia, and of course statements made in regards to Vietnam, and keep talking about Flip-Flops.

Kerry should focus on Domestic Policy, Failures in Iraq, Health Care, Importing Drugs, and then throw in some zingers like Bush AWOL National Guard & maybe throw some Flip-Flop statements back. Oh...and explain how your looking forward blah blah blah.

Kerry should focus on getting the chip off his shoulder. He dishes it out, but apparently cannot take it too well.

Fine with me though, as he is simply digging his own grave, as it were.
