The state won't import the drugs itself, but plans to contract with a Canadian company to connect state residents with foreign pharmacies that have been approved by state health inspectors.

Wow! Good for the governor! America is supposed to be "the land of the free" and we don't need politicians protecting us from our own choices in personal matters such as these. (Note: I did not say "in ALL matters.") Aren't we supposed to have LESS government interference in our personal lives these days?

Believe me I'm all for enforcing laws, but sometimes you have to force a issue. I'm not saying that this is the final solution. This is a case in which the politicians are being forced to listen to the masses of people that don't understand why U.S. citizens are paying such a huge price difference for various drugs. This is a huge issue for seniors ! And for more folks who don't have employer coverage or no coverage at all. Also with many states having financial problems they view this as a huge money saver.
