I received this from my brother Murray today. He and his wife are good friends (have sung with) Christine Lavin on records.

Because I don't share my political views, I would like you to not flame or praise me for posting this. The song is haunting to say the least.

WFUV asked Christine Lavin to write a song welcoming the
Republicans to NYC. She got help from Ervin Drake, writer of
"I Believe," Sinatra's classic "It Was A Very Good Year," among
other songs now part of the great American songbook. At 86,
Ervin is a political animal and very computer savvy.

It is not going to be a commercial release -- the only way to
get it is to download it. I am hoping that it can get to a lot
of different radio stations and press people around the country
(XM satellite radio already put it into rotation TODAY [Friday])
so it's quickly finding outlets. In an email entitled "Christine
Lavin needs your help!", she asked a bunch o' folks to send the
pointer around in the hopes that we all spread it around."
