Why would you say that? I live 30 miles from NJ and don't hear any cheers.

Anyway, was watching the local news tonight but missed the first half... they did a re-cap at the end that said "Governor McGreevey resigned today after disclosing that he is gay and had a homosexual affair." That is a lot of news in one sentence!

I feel very badly for his (apparently 2nd) wife. She is smiling like a true soldier right by his side. I'm thinking she must have already known. (Maybe wife number 1 warned her!)

Well, for starters this democrat put his unqualified boyfriend in charge of NJ's home-land security.

Mayfly, I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that people are showing compassion for the guy and his family. Heck, even Rush Limbaugh said he feels empathy for him!

Re: FYI: N.J. Governor Resigns, Admits Gay Affair

I don't care if he is gay or not. I have no compassion on someone who cheats on his wife, or visa versa. I have compassion for his wife, and think she is an amazing person.
