Feeling overtaxed? Ponder this, from Bush..

"...real rich people figure out how to dodge taxes..."

So, if you feel overtaxed, maybe you're not one of the "real rich" people.

Or, as Bush referred to them in a Fahrenheit 9/11 clip: "one of his base." (chuckle, chuckle).

What I hate is the whole dependent/independent thing! I don't want to fight with my parents about them claiming me as a dependent, but it hurts my taxes a lot! They should just make a rule that at a certain age you can no longer claim your kid as a dependent.

It's not really a matter of age, it's a matter of who pays for food, housing, etc. If they're supporting you, then they get to claim you as a dependent. If you're supporting yourself, then you get to claim yourself. I think there is a "maximum age", but disabled people and full-time students have separate limits.
