Hart, 60, vows if elected to work toward keeping "less favored races" from reproducing or immigrating to the United States. In campaign literature, Hart contends that "poverty genes" threaten to turn the United States into "one big Detroit."

I read this earlier today and was wondering when it was going to get posted here.

This is the most insane thing I've ever heard. The guy is actually spouting racist comments and he STILL get's on the ticket.

Just goes to show you there are extremes that go with every belief. But with that many people supporting him, you wonder how extreme it really is.

Thanks. I've got to long history with the state of Tennessee meself, that goes beyond the Lynchburg (Population: 361, refer to your "empties" to get the joke...) area, to think this indicates anything about the state, as much as it does the auto-pilot/groupthink nature of most voters.

For example, I've got an black aunt who I don't doubt for a second would be voting for Hart if she lived in his district, and a "po' white trash" aunt that would be voting against him.
