So, I'm wondering if any here would be interested in this film about the Fox News Channel's 'fair and balanced' presentation of The News?

"Ye shall know them by their fruits..."

Actually, for me, this movie would be much harder to view than Fahrenheit 9 /11. I would want to scream: "Can't Fox News' fans SEE and HEAR how they are being manipulated, EXCLUSIVELY, to the conservative POV?

Could some of you here stand to hear MM's take on The News...DAILY?

Outfoxed" is the second highest selling DVD on Amazon!!

Some of us watch Fox News because it is the ONLY alternative to how the rest of the media manipulates exclusively to the liberal POV.

In all honesty, I don't know how these news channels "twist" things around. Liberal OR conservative.

Last night on CBS News at 5:30, they compared both Bush and Kerry's college plans. Seemed very fair to me.

Maybe I am missing something, but I don't see all this "twisting and turning" going on.

To me, most of the news stations don't care about the news to begin with...they care about ratings.

You see crazy here's how the arguement goes..If you can't see that the media is liberal then you are called blind(unable to see)-manipulated by the media. That way you either agree with the conservative voices or you are to stupid to see. I've talked with others about this topic earlier so maybe I can locate or you can find-I really don't want to repeat all the blah, blah, blah over again.

Why doesn't everyone on this board watch a "liberal" news program tommorow night. Say, ABC World News Tonight. If you're not home, tape it. I'd like to see examples of how they are skewing things?

It would be a very interesting experiment I think. I'm dead serious about this. I am interested in learning about this liberal bias.

ABC, CBS, NBC & CNN are well known for their liberal slant.

Fox, and MSNBC are more conservative.

Not every news story is slanted, but the over time their support one way or the other becomes more obvious.

When they were doing a debate about gay marriage, they had people on both sides and gave them each time. So, I just don't see where all the bias is, but then again I don't read into things half as much as some people do.

On the flip side I don't buy yours, and I'm not being sarcastic. I think you are too intelligent also to believe the conservative rhetoric. You have to look at all forms of media-also consider the owners of these media outlets.

Crazy, I agree with you. I don't see bias on the non-cable news stations. Plus, I'm pretty sure it is a major reason to lose their job if they do appear to be biased. Not so with FOX, CSNBC and now even CNN.

I consider television (cable or network) news to be almost entirely USELESS, Crazy. I won't be participating in your experiment, but I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to reading the results.

Wow, honestly, I am really surprised. I love to lurk on all sorts of boards. I hear liberals talk about it all the time, it seems to be a generally known and accepted fact every where else. This is by far the most conservative board I am on, so its weird to run into this opinion.

Personally I am in much more agreement with CT on this issue. Media is a total flush in my opinion.

Media Resaearch Center is a conservative media watchdog group. Whether you think they are credible or not based on their party affiliation may cloud whether or not you are able to derive good info from the site.

I think they are extremely fair in their analysis of all mainstream media. Take a look and see what you think.
