Morality must have its roots in some sort of philosophical foundation.
If your morality is based on your personal preferences, then it is bound to conflict with someone else's morality. What's wrong for you may be right for me, and vice-versa. Where there is no authority, there is no static foundation. Moral relativism is quicksand.
A thing is not ascribed rightness or wrongness because we say it is right or wrong. A thing is either right or it is wrong inherently. This is the only way to true morality.
