That smell of "fear in the morning" may very well be overpowered by the smell of [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

From [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

If you just look at Friday to Sunday, Moore's film has a bit of an edge by $2 million. It will be interesting to see if Spider Man 2 will eclipse Moore's exercise in film fantasy later this week. I'd be willing to bet that it shows up to be the flash in the pan that it truly is.

What will be interesting about Fahrenheit 9/11 is how many on various boards will comment about the movie WITHOUT ACTUALLY VIEWING IT. FWIW, I DID see Moore's latest documentary yesterday. The movie is really 2 movies; the most powerful scenes are in the 2nd part, the war in Iraq: American soldiers and the Iraqi people. Some of this is truly heartbreaking, and has not been seen on any newscasts. I have read that this movie has sold-out showings in RED states' theatres. Food for thought for rabid Bush supporters. |

CagedTroll: Moore's next documentary is rumored to be titled Sicko, an examination of Health Care in America. Scheduled for 2005?? That excerpt that you posted from 60 Minutes sounds like a launching pad for his new endeavor. (Kudos to him (again!) for his documentary subject choice). |

Me give THAT MAN a penny of my money? Not happening. The reason the movie is so big is because it's fiction. The truth is much more boring, and wouldn't sell.

Can you imagine if the conservative camp had its own "Michael Moore" spreading fabrication across America's movie screens? You would not be able to hear yourself think over the din of howls and screams from the libs. "LIES!!" LIES!!" LIES!!" and other such noise they'd be bellowing.

Latest from boxoffice.guru: F9/11 was number one of the weekend. At a cost of $6 million to produce and $10 million to market, it pulled in over $21 million. The rest of the White Chicks comparison is interesting. Six times the production costs, three times the marketing, four times as many screens, as F9/11.
