Big grin The Horrors of Hussein

I am sick to my stomach. Late last night, the History Channel showed a program called "The Horrors of Hussein", a documentary revealing the history and brutality of this animal. It included many movies of the attrocities that took place in Saddam's Iraq. There were interviews with several torture survivors describing the things that happened to them while in Saddam's torture chambers. Words cannot describe just how bad it was.

I am convinced more than ever that not only did we do the right thing in liberating the people of that country, WMD or NOT, but that the liberals who have opposed our intervention are either clueless or heartless.

This compassionate conservative thinks we should do likewise for ANY nation that is suffering under a brutal regime like this.

If the program airs again (another one is called "Sons of Saddam"), I recommend viewing it.

Re: The Horrors of Hussein

I watched them both and it was sick what the Hussein family had done to the people of Iraq. There's no doubt that that part of the war did some good.

Re: The Horrors of Hussein

"some" good? SOME good? He killed hundreds of thousands of people! Does it need to get to the level of millions in order to be a great thing we did?

I would hope we would offer this kind of support to any people who are being systematically tortured or murdered by their leadership.

Re: The Horrors of Hussein

I mean, considering the context of what we were told we were going over there for, it's a good thing we rid the country of Saddam while we were there. I know, I know...we've discussed it before.
