No state funding for religious education

I can't believe I can't find a link for this. As I understand it, the supreme court voted 7-2 today to uphold the decision to prohibit states from giving scholarships to people that are persuing a religious degree.

Who were the dissenting supreme court justices? You guessed it... Scalia (quack, quack) and Clarence Thomas.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that a state can prohibit college scholarships for religious instruction even when they give similar awards to needy students for secular studies.

By a 7-2 vote, the high court overturned a ruling that Washington state's denial of a scholarship to a student who wanted to pursue a degree in theology violated his constitutional right to the free exercise of his religion.
