| Prescription drugs for Medicare
at the cost of at least $400 Billion, is it a good idea, or a bad idea? Politically, to have the GOP steal another issue from the Democrats is a great idea. To have Daschle standing up behind a podium making a fool of himself cheesing off a 30 million member AARP (which is a high voting group) probably makes Karl Rove pop champagne corks.  Fiscally? That's another issue.

Personally, I don't like seeing the Rep party losing its core values. Aren't we supposed to be the Small gov't party?!?

exactly.. The sad thing is.. we may gain votes out of this bill, but we won't be gaining anyone with conservative values. The amazing thing is that conservative values are proven to be effective everytime they're tried. From abstinence to low taxes and small government. Yet people seem to run away from these issues. Politically, good / Fiscally irresponsible.
