Big Brother 3

I don't know that we want to start any kind of contest for Big Brother here on Deal of Day but I do think it would be fun to have a link here for discussion of the show. So I am starting one.
The research that I have done so far, which is very limited, shows there are 12 people, ages 23-51, mostly single, 6 men, 6 women, with one pretty spoiled brat, one married mom, one older man, and lots of pretty females and hunky looking males. Not much time to check them out yet.

MariB is welcome here
I'm a BB fan and have been posting and reading the boards at The TV ClubHouse for the past month. There are quite a few posters there who are far more obsessed with BB than I am and I've picked up a lot of information.

The new group of contestants entered the house yesterday. However, the live feeds won't start until the first show airs on Wednesday. There's going to be a real effort to shield the house guests from the airplane banners this year, including (supposedly) having spotters outside looking for any suspicious small planes approaching. Several of the posters at TVCH live in the LA area and are responsible for the shooting-gumballs-into-the-BB-compound incident during BB1, as well as launching rolls of TP into the yard when the supply in the house ran out. One of them did a drive-by yesterday after the contestants entered the house and said that security is heavier than in the past.

I'll be subscribing to the live feeds again this year. There's so much entertaining stuff that goes on that's left out of the show.

Not my favorite show but it would be fun to have another "just for the glory" contest. Chippers, MariB, anyone ????

I only usually watch BB occasionally...but I would be interested in participating if there is a contest.

Okay I will set up a contest with simple rules, so that I can keep track easily. It will be another no-prize, just glory contest. The object will be to pick the winner and/or accumulate the most points: the winner will be the contestant with the most points after the final show.
Rules will be: Pick the BB player you think will win it all. Get 5 points for every week your pick stays in the game. Lose 10 points the week your pick is eliminated. Pick a new one. If you end up negative from this you will have 0 points as I do not want to deal with negative numbers.
Pick the BB player who will get kicked off each week and get 5 points whenever you are correct. You must get your picks to me BEFORE the nomination night (We will not start this until we know which night the nominees will be made.)
And pick the Head of the Household the night before he/she is picked and get 5 points.
We will have to watch the first night, Wednesday, before we start any of this. And everyone will be welcome to join our little game any time while BB3 is running.
We will not be attempting to pick the nominees each week for points. But feel free to speculate here and influence others choices....

MariB - I also do the TVCH thing - and I remember the "angels" deal and tossing of the toilet paper. LOL Pretty funny stuff going on over there!

I like the Banners for the most part - throws a twist into things.

I did subscribe to the live feeds last year, and am not sure if I will this year. It would be ideal since we have DSL at work now - but since I"m having my baby in 3 weeks, I won't be at work and probably won't have much time to sit in front of my computer! At least I can get live feed updates on TVCH.

Thanks Chippers for doing this. It makes it more fun if we have a little contest. I've sent you my picks as I am going to miss the first few shows. I guess I can't change my winner pick later unless she gets booted? Right now I don't have much to go on . But that's okay.

Okay the 12 contestants are Amy, Chiara, Danielle, Eric, Gerry, Jason, Josh, Lisa, Lori, Marcelles, Roddy, and Tonya.
Lisa has already been chosen head of household so we cannot get any points for that this week.

Just for this week, if you read this, and send me your picks to be nominated by Lisa tomorrow you will get 1 point for each nominee you get right. I will check my e-mail when I get home from work tomorrow at 6:30 EST. Any nominee picks in my inbox at that time will qualify for 1 point each if Lisa picks them.

You may have until Friday night at midnight EST to send me your pick for who will be voted out. Just for this week you will get 1 point if you choose correctly between Lisa's two nominees.

Then starting next week I need your ultimate winner pick, head of household pick and your guess for who will be eliminated ALL by midnight of Tuesday, the 16th. Each will win you 5 points if correct. (ultimate winner pick must survive the week's elimination)

They look like a bunch of good-looking but maybe not so smart people to me. We shall see.
E-mail me: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] or if you don't care if your picks are public, just post them here. All deadlines apply.

Any questions? Just ask by e-mailing or posting here.
