Boo Hoo!! Gonna miss Gary/Dave.
They were on Rosie today, she gave them a 7 day trip to the Cayman Islands. Gary said" Just what I wanted another trip with Dave" LOL

Sorry, I won't miss "Itchy" and "Scratchy." I thought they were annoying . Well, at least the one with the glasses. (Is that Gary? I'm still not sure.)

Interesting that the final teams are some of the same "make up" as the final teams in the first show: the separated couple, the lifelong friends, the gay couple. Speaking of which, I love Danny and Oswald! You gotta admire their approach to the game. I imagine that the Mandarin Oriental appreciates the extra publicity they got. Although perhaps they won't appreciate it if people--who are not guests--start dropping in at their properties all over the world to get assistance with things. I thought it was a great idea. I'd certainly do it if I were in a future race (now that I've seen it done). I guess that's the problem with subsequent episodes of Amazing Race (or Survivor, or.....). Future contestants can learn from the actions of previous ones. Then, some of the mystique and suspense is gone.

Big grin

I love Danny and Oswald too. They are such a sweet pair of guys.I like the fact that they stay out of the in-fighting and back biting. They have been my choice to win since day one. I really doubt that they will win, but wouldn't it be nice if ,by being polite and good natured towards everyone, would reward them this way? I was sure happy that they won the cruise.

Cool

Alright, I watched it last night finally (had it taped)

it's all good... they had a great run, and got a helluva lot farther than I thought they would have!!

So, like I said in the other thread, this will be counted as 2 seperate episodes, since they had 2 pit stops.

Blake & Paige will be last for the 1st and my boys *sniff sniff* will be last for the 2nd. I'll try to get the scores updated today, depends on how busy it is at work.

I thought it was so funny when the Early Show showed that picture of Gary in his hat and black glasses next to the picture of Woody Allen from Sleeper. They just looked so much alike.

Unhappy

Phred's Phrends Phailed. Too sad.

Danny and Oswald are great! They are almost too nice to play this game though! With four teams left it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Did I hear Phil correctly when he said that there were going to be 4 predetermined non-elimination pit stops? That would mean that there are 2 left.

4 non elimination pit stops

I heard this also, meant to post it before. That could be a bummer for some of us hoping to get rid of someone and then finding out it's not an elimination round I doubt they will do another one this week, since they just did one. probably when there is 3 and then with the 2 teams left there will be one.

do they always end up back in the US any one know? i know they ended up in NY last time but I dont know if they always do????

Cool

Actually...
I was in training all day Thurs, and only worked half a day friday, so I was busy all day. Then I got sick this weekend, and haven't been back to work since

Yesterday, I was ready to just curl up and forget the world existed! But, I'm fealing better today. Oh, by the way, if you didn't know... I have the spread sheet at work, so I can't update from home (duh me, I know... ) SOOOO, you'll all have to just deal with it, and if you dont' like it, go visit my Mr. Crankypants thread in GCC.

I should be back at work tomorrow, and I appologize for not getting those updated. Besides, now that my boys are gone, no sense in even watching the rest of the episodes, right?

No problem, Phreddy boy!! We all know about your new hot romance that you wrote about in GCC. You and AtlantaGal---who woulda guessed??!

Plus, as long as you don't update the scores, I remain in 1st place (which will end as soon as you update the scores.) So, no hurry, my friend.

I'll even make it easy on ya and keep the same picks I had for last week!

I just thought that I should probably tell you my picks, so you don't think I'm cheating...

Well, since my boys are gone, we'll go with the only other teams thats all guys... Chris & Alex.

Team Cha-cha-cha will still be my pick to go out (although I secretly hope for Chris and Alex to screw over Wil)

Ok, since they threw the double episode in there on us, we'll now refer to each LEG, not episode... This is the result for Leg 8 (the first part of the 2 hour episode) Since he did the "you are this position" I'm counting it as it's own leg.

Code:
Username Points tarynsmom 17 kayemjay 257 PennyWise 13 Bonniejeanne 29 Laurath 10 Kathat 38 Hattielee 34 Sceptre 129 Rafala 9 wss4 7 Um, Bassmount 24 Chippers21 261 Wifey 257 Cinifini 17 Amyaccident 22 donna1990 14 Colbyam 129 ShainaT 131 CLC 32 Ttulipss 34 Brain 15 Corganiacs 1 Lemongirl 129 Trace30 20 QueenBee24752 20 Busyness 15 Crazytimes 14 PHReD 255
Blake & Paige were the last to arrive here, they were not eliminated, but the same thing applies here, as it did for Chris & Alex a few episodes back. If you had Blake & Paige, you get -2 and you start back over at 1 for them (this is shown, by me changing the leg you picked them for, to 9) After lunch, I'll calculate the totals for leg 9, then leg 10 and post them in their own threads. Sorry for such the delay, I REALLY didn't plan on getting sick!
