Again, they arranged it so they'd all be leaving at the same time. I guess they do that to try to make the race more exciting. Hopefully, they will change it soon so that the leaders actually have a chance of pulling ahead.

FIGURES! The last couple of weeks I had Mary and Peach coming in last and this week I change it and what happens!!??!!

Oh well, Chris and Alex are there at the top!

Did you see the preview for next week? They make it sound like Blake and Paige or Tara and Will will be out next week.....hmmmm is that just an advertising ploy or will one of these teams be eliminated? It'll probably end up being a non-elimination point again.

next weeks race

I must have missed something, I didnt know it was going to be 2 hours next week. They are having a recap of survivor at 8 so it must go from 9 -11 est.

got this from the cbs.com page for amazing race 2.

It's a special 2-HOUR EPISODE of THE AMAZING RACE. When four of the five Teams book themselves on the same international flight, Oswald & Danny take a different course. Will their plan put them in the lead, or throw them far behind?
Wil accuses Tara of having made a terrible error by talking strategy with another Team, and decides to backtrack to save his Team.

Wil has to face one of his greatest fears above Sydney Harbor. Will it bring him closer to Tara, or closer to elimination?

After Blake & Paige make several mistakes, Paige, in one decisive move, may just save the Team. Blake's respect for her is enormous, but will her effort be too little too late?

LOL
I have just read all the threads....I was mentioned several times...sorry to see I WAS wrong and have fallen from the lead but it was fun while it lasted....
Phred PhRed PhrEd : I have nothing against your guys, they are great...just playing the game..
I have had Tara and Will to win the whole time and I certainly do not like them (especially Will) very much....Next week should be interesting. It looks like Tara and Wil are candidates to make a fatal mistake so I may have to do that change thing that lowers my points.....How many do I lose if I just let it occur naturally, i.e. Tara and Will are eliminated next?
Have to get back to the Braves game...they need all the support they can get this year. Liz /chippers21

Cool

Chippers, I was just messin' with ya'

Ok, if you keep tara/wil for next week:

128 pts if they don't get out
-2 if they do get out
1 if you pick someone else

So, at this point, if I were you, I'd keep them, and gamble to get 128 pts vs 1 point (you could always switch to the one that lose, and get -2 instead of 12.

Then for week 9 you would be going for 256 pts, if they were still in it... Your call

Hey Phred,
I heard next week is 2 back to back episodes. I assume one episode is probably non elimination? But who knows? Should we send picks for both episodes?

Well umm it just says 2 hour episode... anyone know for sure if it's 2 back to back episodes or what?

Why don't we for now, say... sure, send me 2 different sets of picks. If there is only one last place, then I'll use your FIRST set of picks only, unless you tell me otherwises.

If there are 2 last places, and you only send one, I'll do the same thing as always, and use your picks both times.

I'm only going to count it, as being 2 last places, if they stand on the mat, and he says "you are 1st..." blah blah blah.

Any other questions before this 2 hour special screws us all up?

i have a question. What if there are two eliminations and we send two picks, but our second pick is the team that was eliminated the first time? What happens then? Or what if our team to win gets eliminated the first time, and we still have them to win during the second hour? This could get very complicated. I have a feeling there won't be two eliminations, though.

Way to go Shaina!!!

Wow!!! Now I am going to have to take my picks for this upcoming week very seriously. Considering I am at almost negative points in Pandybat's Survivor contest...this game is my best shot at glory!! (Even though Corgie could still win the prize with her one point!)

Anyhow, I knew the sisters didn't have the teamwork to last much longer. One of them obviously didn't want to be there. Now my vibes for what teams aren't crafty and smart enough to keep going are not clear. Hmmm....I'll have to think about it. Should be interesting Wednesday!!

So funny Shaina....At work my friend and I discussed it for a long time and the sisters were our second choice and that is how you pulled ahead of me. This is so much fun tho.... I am having the same kind of luck as you in the Survivor contest.

If your winners for any round are already gone, it's 0.
Ask Corgi

HOWEVER... if there are 2 episodes, and the first one is a non-elimination, just a "you're last"... then, it's different.

Say you have Gary & Dave to for ultimate winners for your second picks. But Wil trips Dave, then sits on his head while Blake duct tapes him, and throws him in a trunk, so Gary & Dave come in last, for the first round, but aren't eliminated. Since you have them for the winners in the second round, you'd only get 1 point, since they came in last in the first round. (It wouldn't matter if you had them for winners the first round or not, you'd still get 1 point the second)

Make sense to everyone?
