I know what you mean.I watch way too many of these types of shows and they are all starting to seem the same. I got this on UPN11 at 8pm Pacific time. I think it is a Seattle WA or Spokane WA station. I still like Survivor best but No Boundaries has some wonderful scenery and Amazing Race takes you to some very interesting countries.

not that bad, a lot like survivor but they dont have to vote each other off. it is kinda tough because they are families teens and preteens. the thing i dont really understand though is they win this beach house in Fuji and when are they ever going to go there? do you think it would actually sell for a decent price? dont know if it is really worth it??? i will give it a couple more episodes before i decide whether i like it or not. it was on upn at 8pm est also. karen i just checked out the tv guide and they have it friday night here?? I watched it friday not last night. just in case anyone is looking for it.

I watched this one too on Friday night. It was funny to see how the parents are so confrontational and the kids just want to get along.... I found it really outrageous that with four bedrooms the first two families to find the house decided it was a-okay to take 2 each and leave the other 3 families to sleep on the floor with make-shift tent style material for a little privacy. I think the previews from next week show where they remedy that somewhat and share the bedrooms. There is a race issue in this show I am afraid. I hate it when that is a factor. I get the impression that the white-haired dad ( I don't remember any of their names) is going to make life hard for the black family because he sees an opportunity to "push their buttons" so to speak. He seems to feel that riling them up will help him beat them. I WILL probably watch the show again, but I am not waiting in anticipation like I do for Survivor and Amazing Race.

I like the idea that it is family style, ie.. families competing. I am the all time reality tv freak. For those who did not see it the first time. There is an Encore presentation of the first show on Tuesday after Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I believe at 9:00 pm Eastern on UPN. You know what got me. When the first two families took the bedrooms the other families had such a fit. But I just wonder if they had arrived first, would they have left the bedrooms open for the others? The one family staked out the bathrooms and stove......I think that stunt speaks for itself. The whole idea of the show is competition and the instructions clearly stated that the first family could take any bedroom or bedroomssssssss that they wanted. They got there first so they had every right to take 1 or more bedrooms and I seriously dobt that if the other families would have done anything differently.

I think the third family only put their names on the bathroom and stove because one of the kids from the first 2 families there put their name on the fridge. They didn't know it was a joke and probably thought that if the first two families were greedy enough to take all the bedrooms then they would take something to bargain with. The one father (maybe the first one there, but not the white haired, blue shirt man) thought they should each give up a bedroom I think even before any other families got there, but everyone else said no. It looks like by the second show all the families will have their own space. One in each bedroom, and one in the living room. |

Great show! I too like the idea of families competing. I don't really like the white haired guy - he seems pretty cocky and arrogant. Some of the kids seem really quiet. Looks good...I will keep watching... -Matt |

I thought that it was very poor of Mike Shofield(the white haired guy) to instigate the kids into piling garbage by the McRaes door. It was a mean spirited trick and I hope that his family loses the next challenge. I really don't like the idea of subjecting these young kids to this type of competition. At least the adults had a clear choice if they wanted to join this game or not.

I dislike that Shofield guy SO much. It was juvenile AND stupid to play that trick on the other family, and getting the kids to do it was downright dirty. What does that teach them? Nothing good I am sure. The thing that sealed the deal for me was Shofield's statement for the camera that he was shoving his morals right out the door in order to "play" the game. In the first place, anyone who would do that would do anything (rotten most likely/hurtful without remorse) to get ahead in life and is, in my humble opinion, a very amoral person. The fact that the kids see all this so-called "adult" behavior is SO bad. They will likely grow up thinking such behavior is just fine.
