I for one, am going against the odds, and saying the twins are going to mess up royally and drop to last. I'm betting the grannies beat them with time to spare. I was leaning towards the twins because of the preview,but then I thought they wouldn't do that (show a weakness)so I guess we'll see,but I really give the grannies a lot of credit,but I really do think they have had enough. Then again the sisters are not going far,I'll give you that..so we'll see SURVIVOR's on,gotta go!!  How's that for chatter??

Actually, from the previews I really hope Tara and Will get left in the dust, because I don't like his attitude. BUT it looks like the Grannies are gonna have to do some moving next episode. I can't wait! PS. I don't think it shows a weakness, he got his foot run over for goodness sakes. It shows smarts. Take it easy, let it heal a bit, be in top shape for the next challenge. On top of that, there is NO WAY I would have hang glided either. LOL!

Well I apologize Phred you were right about my pick of Gary/ Dave. But for a while there it was looking good. I for one am thinking about changing my pick for winners. Blake/ Paige are just not what I thought they would be. I know something about the Grannies too but don't know if I should post it. I might give away an advantage. Ok I will say this--------Watch the opening of the show. I don't like Will either. I guess we know why he and Tara are a "seperated" couple. Can you blame her? I personally like Cyndie/ Russel. I think they have an extra advantage. Well I guess that I will have to think on it. I am getting slammed tonight. My ultimate pick for Survivor got kicked out. Don't even want to get started on that one. What a bunch of idiots!!!

| Oh my life has just become sooo sad. I LOVE this show. lol. OK here goes. I take back all my bad thoughts about Gary & Dave. Both of them were very funny and quite endearing last night. Blake & Paige are becoming annoying, and from the preview for next week Will may get my "slime of the show" award. This week that award goes to Will for being such a self-serving ummm jerk, for asking Chris/Alex for help after trying to ditch them.. Speculation in my house is that Tara will remain separated from Will after the show is over and possibly start to date Alex (or was it Chris?). The Grannies are too cool. The Twins appear to need some time to re-group. Everyone else seemed to do pretty well. I can't wait for next week!! Pearl

Last night's episode was actually the first one I saw this season. So, I had to choose my picks (for ultimate winner as well as who would be eliminated last night) by reading the info on the CBS web site and my own "gut instinct". I was torn between voting for the twins, or Blake & Paige as the winners. I voted for the latter, but after watching last night's show, I'm regretting that. And, speaking of regrets (attn: PHReD), Gary and Dave don't seem quite as hopeless on the show as they seemed from their bios on the CBS web site. (Is that an apology? )On the other hand, what I read (on this board) about Tara and Will seems more and more accurate. Will is a jerk personified. However, Tara seems a bit pissy to me too. I admire the Grannies for all that they're doing. I especially admire the one who wasn't as afraid to hang glide (Claire?), because she seems like the driving force between the two, yet tolerant of her partner's fears. You go "girls"! I thought that having this show on right after Survivor last night offered a unique opportunity to compare the two. To me, the Amazing Race proved itself as just as good (in concept, production, etc.) as Survivor, if not better. I'm hoping that it gained some new fans last night. |

These are Phred's rules from the original thread. You pick who you think the ultimate winners will be. You pick who you think will get eliminated/come in last (for weeks that no one gets eliminated). You can change your winners each week, regardless of if your team got eliminated or not. HOWEVER, the longer you keep the same team, the more points you get. The first week you have that team, you get 1 point if they don't get cut, if you keep the same team, and they're still in it the next week, you get 2 points, the third week, 4 points, the fourth week, 8 points, etc. That way, if you pick the winner right off the bat, and don't switch... you have a big advantage over someone who picks them half way through. If your winners come in last for a week that no one is eliminated, you get 0 points for that week, and you start back over at 1 the next week (not your total points, just how many you'll get if they don't get cut). You get 2 points for picking who gets eliminated/comes in last each week as well. At the end, each point will be one entry, and there will be a random drawing as to who wins the 5,000 cent Amazon Gift Certificate. The deadline will be midnight EST, the night before the show. So, Sunday, March 10th by midnight, for your first picks. Also since I'm such a swell guy, if I do not receive an email from you (or the email is after midnight the night before), I will use your two previous answers for the current week! You can't beat that, now can ya'??

Thanks for letting me in! I hope Gary & Dave last for awhile, since they are very funny. Tara & Wil and Blake & Paige are insipid, they have got to go! I'm loving Gary & Dave, Oswald & Danny, and the Grannies! I thought Cyndi & Russel were going to die in the samba club, kind of funny, but they had a great attitude about it, like them too. I'm sort of up in the air on everyone else. I wish Kevin & Drew were in it again......... Lemongirl |
